  • Hey, Ladies! Been a super crazy week at work and school, so I've been unable to lift so far this week. It's also Spring Break for my kiddos, so they have been home as well. Only had time for quick walks or bike rides. I am hoping that I can hit it hard on Saturday! QOTD: I probably watch too much TV, but usually on…
  • It's lifting day! Going to start Stage 3, and I am really excited! Was looking at the exercises and I think I'm really going to like this stage. I'll update later!! QOTD: I am embarrassed to say that I haven't flown since my honeymoon almost 14 years ago. We flew to the Bahamas.
  • Hey, Ladies! Took a few days off to spend with the hubby and kids. Hope everyone had a fantastic Easter! Finished up Stage 2 during my time off, so tomorrow starts Stage 3! QOTD: To catch up: Easter was a cheat day, so C. Had to attend two dinners loaded with casseroles and sweets, and now I am feeling it! Very sluggish…
  • There are diagrams and everything (in case reading is hard), including how long to keep it in and how long not to keep it in, including warnings. Sorry, but my mom never sat me down and showed me how to use one, she would only get me pads. So when I was on my on, I bought tampons and figured it out. It was awkward the…
  • This one, except that when Olympia Dukakis says to "Whack Weezer" I find myself both crying and laughing hysterically! Only movie that has every done and still continues to do that to me!
  • ^^THIS x 1,000,000!!! Horrible horrible horrible!! I posted on MFP that whoever decided this was good owed me money for 2 bananas and 2 eggs!!
  • LB2LL: I'm sorry to hear that you're still hurting! Hoping you feel better quickly! Sht: Stage 2 did work my butt! HA!! Hope you enjoy!! Did S2A4 last night, and think I did well for my last workout. Did not increase weights too much this time, but I hear that's pretty normal for Stage 2. QOTD: I am not a huge wine…
  • I guess my weekly total would be 12,488. Does that seem like a lot? I guess I'm not used to looking at my calories in that fashion. :ohwell: ETA: I need to answer today's question. Being from Kentucky, it is sort of a "rite of passage" to go camping. Yes, I have been camping. Do I enjoy going? Depends on your definition of…
  • Western Kentucky - Mutton and Burgoo
  • Kmsai - I feel your pain! I have been in a plateau for over 6 months now. It does get very frustrating, but I try to focus on the fact that I am getting stronger. It helps, but the scale does sometimes get the best of me! Also, I am jealous of your weather. Woke up to snow again! They better put that groundhog in…
  • I drink coffee every day. I used to put sugar and creamer, but now I add almond milk and Stevia. Just as good with WAY less sugar and calories! I will sometimes splurge on a Saturday and get a non-fat vanillia latte. Not very often, about once a month or so.
  • Okay, I need to catch up! I have two children, an 11-yearl old boy (will be 12 next month), and a 9-year old little girl. They are awesome kids, and I am very blessed to have them! My son started middle-school this year and decided to join the X country team and the long distance track team. He is one of the top runners in…
  • Big Bang Theory (I LOL at EVERY episode!) Castle Revenge Duck Dynasty Mad Men (Season 6 starts next month!!!) Recently started watching Scandal and Elementary. Both really good shows.
  • Hey, Ladies! My favorite color is purple. Always has been. Sparkles make it better! Typical girl..lol! My husband I I work opposite shifts, so we are both used to having the whole bed (minus what the dog takes) to ourselves. On weekends when he is home I really have a hard time sleeping. He is off all next week, so…
  • Uncle Si rocks!!! ETA: I guess mine would be Real Housewives of Orange County. The only RH I watch, the rest get on my nerves.
  • I have always wanted to go to DC! How exciting!! Hope you all have a fantastic trip! Did S2B3 yesterday. Knee is still a little sore, so I didn't increase much and took it easy on the lunges. Otherwise, felt like I got a good workout. Will not be lifting tomorrow because my entire family will be running our first 5k of the…

  • + 1 more. The phrase "My inner goddess" makes me want to puke!
  • Haha! Small world!! My father lived in Asheville for a long time, and I eventually moved there with my husband about 7 years ago. About a year later, we moved to North Columbia right off of I77. Moved back home to Kentucky about 1 1/2 years after, but I would go back in a heartbeat!! Everyone told me I would hate it there,…
  • Haha! I hear ya!! We've done DW twice, and I have no desire to return any time soon. We have a really nice family-owned amusement park about 30 minutes away, so we go there 1 or 2 x a year. If anyone ever decides to come to the area, look it up!! The name is Holiday World. I've been to Six Flags, Dollywood, DW, Carowinds,…
  • Just bought my first pair of Saucony's and LOVE them! I was worried because I really loved how my Brooks fit (I am 97% flat-footed so I'm a severe overpronator), but I am really happy! Not to mention I didn't have to pay $130 for them!! Win win!!
  • lcu: Nice idea! I went to college the first time at a branch of the University of Kentucky. I quit because I decided to get married. 16 years later, I'm back! I've almost completed my AA Degree with Transfer and will be attending either Western Kentucky University or Brescia University. When I'm finished, I will have my…
  • Hey, Ladies! I've been MIA, but I'm still lifting! Did my S2A3 yesterday and I have a question. I was doing the lunge yesterday and felt a pull at the top of my left knee. I put some Icyhot on it and took some Advil last night. It is still tight and sore today. Has this happend to anyone? What did you do? I also posted…

  • Hey, Ladies! Sorry I have been MIA for a while. Still doing Stage 2, but have had quite a bit of personal stuff going on. I have a question....I did S2A3 last night and felt a pull at the top of my left knee while doing the lunge. Put on some Icyhot before bed and took some Advil. Still feels pretty tight today and a…
  • I can only speak from my experience, but I started taking Orthocylene for hormonal issues / PCOS about 6 months ago. Since I started, I have been in a plateau. I am not sure if it is the medicine, or my body telling me I wasn't eating enough. I was on the 1200 calorie (did eat back my exercise calories) diet before that…
  • What has helped for me is lots of water and taking a good probiotic. Look for a really good one at a natural food / supplement store. The ones sold at places like Walmart or Walgreens aren't nearly as good. I think the lowest you should go is supposed to be 4 billion live cultures. The higher the number, the better the…
  • mmmmmmm....Key. Lime. Pie. (drools)
  • Congratulations! I am six years smoke free, and it was the best decision of my life. You can do this!! :flowerforyou:
  • I understand. I wish I could say it's my MIL, but it's my parents (they are divorced and both remarried). My father doesn't have anything to do with my kids (for example, they (my father and step-mom) don't even know their ages), and my mother is a very self-centered type. Deep down I know she loves my kids, but rarely…
  • We hardly ever get to go out. Maybe 1 or 2 times a year. However, my son is now getting old enough to where he can stay home with his little sister for a couple of hours during the day. We take that time to go grocery shopping together, go to the gym..etc. Sounds romantic, huh? LOL! There is something to be said for going…
