Bumping to help you out- and to have time tomorrow to write a response ( sorry, too busy doing DIY and listening to Duran Duran) :)

Sounds to me like you need a new goal. You've achieved a huge amount, so revel in your success and be kinder to yourself. Now you are where you want to be weight wise, maybe make your goals more fitness related. Lift heavier, run/cycle/swim faster, whatever you enjoy doing. Take up a new sport. Challenge yourself so you…

Usually us Brits are all politely forming a queue, so we can only go on the forums one at a time :)

Completely incorrect. And please note that the 5:2 is not designed as a 'diet' but a way of eating, potentially for life, and therefore also a lifestyle change. You 'fast' for two days (approximately 600 calories for men, 500 for women) and eat at maintenance for 5 days. There are many on here who have been following this…

Thirded- and I've just started stage 2 also. Even after just one stage, I've noticed a difference in strength already. It's fairly simple to follow with recommended exercises, sets and reps, but you set your own weights and increase as you move through the stage, as you see fit and are capable of. If you do some research…

You cam warm thing up in a pot- just make sure it's thoroughly defrosted first, then heat through gently.

I love cooking, but if you don't enjoy it, it's best to keep things simple. As someone has already said, use a crockpot- make enough for 4 servings at once for example, it shouldn't take more than half an hour to chop all the ingredients, then freeze the remainder separately and bingo, you have another 3 evening meals…

I take meds for my back too (anti inflammatories) and just make sure I have them after breakfast and dinner. You don't necessarily need a full stomach, but eating before you take them prevents the risk of stomach ulcers. Agree with everyone else, you really should up your food calorie intake- I understand how back pain can…

Bumping, as just made this tonight, and it was gorg! I am not really a fan of peanut butter, but thought I would try this as it was 'disguised' in a recipe- but I may be a convert! Some very delicious flavours, thanks again for sharing, Eatliftdrink

And also politely queueing to answer this thread  Maintaining in London, feel fee to add!

This sounds delish, thanks for sharing!

That's funny, that's my dream body too  (also unrealistic, but a girl's gotta dream  )

This. Like you OP, I have always gone to the gym, and used weight machines. But have nearly finished stage 1 of NROLFW, it's simple to follow, and you can make it as challenging (with weights) as you wish. There are far more expert opinions than mine, but i have found it a great place to start. Don't worry about how you…

Understand what you are saying Jo. I think you're right, once one gets to, or close to, maintenance, the way one feels and looks is at least as important as the scale (though obviously the scale got many people there in the first place). That's also part of my thought process now. However, I think I would find it hard to…

For all you guys who are at maintenance- when you hit your target or ideal weight, did you then carry on a couple of pounds below, so that your ideal weight became the average of this 3-5lb window? I know there's an interesting thread on this which someone has kindly posted above, but just wondering.

Huge congrats to you twelvesticks, a great commitment and a great success story!

Do you have a kitty gif for this? D'oh! Forgot it was supposed to be a new topic...

I love my wine too. Two methods which work for me- I have evenings I just don't drink any- it's much easier if you don't start! And if I do want wine, it absolutely has to fit into my calories- along with any potential wine induced snacking! I always make sure I eat healthily and watch my macros, so wine is an extra. Will…

Fantastic progress, well done and enjoy!

If you enjoy it, it's working for you and you're meeting your goals, whatever they may be, that's what counts. And there are plenty of sports which require enough energy to keep going for 3 hours, so that opinion is a non starter. Good luck

Wait... men have opinions? Who knew.

That's a fantastic NSV, well done and enjoy!

Hmm... thread resurrection, much?

Just a suggestion- why don't you spend those HUNDREDS of hours eating less and exercising more. That's the way to burn fat.

Sounds like you already are, but be prepared for headaches. i gave up tea and coffee a few years ago just for a month. I have a tendency to scoff at anything affecting me, so served me right when I got massive headaches for two days. Do you need to cut out caffeine for medical reasons? Herbal teas can be very useful, you…

But oh... so much more fun than a carrot.

Alternatively, you could entitle it 'Cup size!' Though you may find you get some very interesting responses....

I do Zumba, and I log 60 minutes. That's how long the class lasts, and I am still dripping with sweat after the class, so assume (correctly or not) that I am still burning calories while we are dong the 5 minute stretch at the end. I also use MFP's calculation. I don't have a HRM, but have compared the burn to someone with…
