Use that hurt to keep you focussed on your goal. When I was told that I looked fat I thought 'never again' and made changes to my life. You can either get stuck on feeling insulted or move on and kick *kitten*; the latter is much more productive.
-
Is it an insult if someone, particularly a child, is telling you the truth?
-
And what's your question?
-
Look for lamb liver in MFP.
-
I don't create my own recipes but find a 'close enough" food/recipe in MFP or choose a recipe in internet which comes with calorie/macros count. I figured out that calorie content/burning for both food and exercise is very approximate, so I don't care enough to put much effort on this. I see my calorie tracking as a way of…

Don't worry, track total energy (and carbs if you want). Sugars is just a subset of carbs and MFP is overly restrictive about sugars. If your net energy intake is lower than your target you'll drop weight even if you are over the sugar limit.

Do you understand that presenting juicing as the opposite of bro science is oxymoronic?
-
It will get better with rest and, perhaps, most appropriate shoes. I would avoid high heels if you have this problem, I'm sure you will be able to show off your legs with other shoes.
-
It does get easier if you slowly build your aerobic capacity. A few months ago I started just like you and I could not run for one block, while now I can do a few kilometers. It is perfectly OK alternating walking and jogging, just push yourself a little bit and in a few months nobody will be able to stop you.
-
Funnily enough, yesterday I got the same reply from my anorexic juicing colleague when I sent the link to her [start of edit]I sent it to her because I worry about her clearly deteriorating health[end of edit]. I'm pointing a *source of discussion*, you are welcome to do whatever you want with your life.

The issue on the linked post is not drinking juice—juices are nice, healthy, etc—but basing the whole diet on juices, with the expectation that they'll magically work because one in 'cleansing' the body.

Personally, and having had plantar fasciitis in the past, I would not run if I were that heavy, as getting in to trouble again would create a big delay on my exercise goals. I would start with low impact exercise, for example walking and swimming (I love swimming these days) and once I've dropped more weight I would start…

Sensitive about it. Aren't we? I thought the article would be useful under "Food and Nutrition".
-
Perhaps the question is What person with a **healthy relationship** with food would choose juicing as his/her diet?

Several years ago I spent 5 weeks in India and did not put any weight at all. Sure, you'll be in a wedding (as was I) but then there is so much to do, so many people to talk to, so many opportunities to walk around and get lost. Enjoy it; two weeks is nothing if you already are under control.
-
You are in the wrong board; this is MAINTAINING weight.
-
No. Yes.
-
Plot outline, characters description? Nah, winging it while grading exams for students. I'll be using an Alphasmart and handwriting to keep technology to a minimum.

I bought a polar bluetooth strap to complement the Runkeeper app in my android phone. This combination (or something similar using an iPhone) will give you heart rate, time, a map of your route and automatically sync calories with MFP.
-
I'll give it a go for the first time this year. It'll be fun as English is my second language.
-
I mostly track calories and given that I have no medical reasons to worry about sugar I replaced it in my food report tracking fiber instead. For the purposes of weight loss concentrate on calories and forget about the crock of "good" and "bad" sugars.
-
Or you can use weights successfully, as other MFP members have done.
-
I find a scale indispensable. In contrast, I'm trying to get rid off stuff from the kitchen, so selling everything I don't use, which are most appliances.
-
Between 30 & 45 minutes twice a day. Walking/jogging with the dog, killing two birds with one stone.
-
A warm welcome for you and Gunny. I have a Labrador x Staffordshire (and a few other things) mutt.
-
Don't worry about others. If they are your family they should be aware of what you are aiming for and be supportive about your choices. I often choose something lighter than other people eating with me in a restaurant and if people ask I tell them that I'm consciously choosing food that is better for me.

Body fat percentage is what you should be targeting. Having said so, BMI is a—granted, imperfect—predictor of body fat percentage, which is very easy to calculate. BMI works at the population level but, as previous posters have pointed out, it can't deal well with people with lots of muscle (say weightlifters and…

Could we send you a cake with fruit hidden inside?
-
Sure. I've been losing weight while not eliminating anything from my diet; just smaller portions and a marginal increase of my exercise level pre-MFP.

My plan starting in July was to lose 7 kg, now shifted to dropping 10 kg (22 pounds), which I should achieve before Christmas. I haven't bought any new clothes and am planning to go shopping during boxing day sales.
