I have also read that adding a small amount of Casin to your post workout Whey mix helps, not sure about the science behind this one though. I personally do Whey post workout and half serving of Casin at night

I had issues with one of my IT bands at one point while training for a race. First you going to have to rest and invest in a foam roller. then use something like Youtube to find stretches
