  • I try to find healthy snacks to contain that hunger. I'll snack on a piece of cheese, or a handful of almonds. I think if you supplement your diet with more protein in it, it will curb off those hunger pangs. Just remember to eat sensibly at your full meals, have a healthy snack inbetween, and drink lots of water. Hope…

  • I am 52 and have been a type 2 diabetic for a while. I take Metformin, blood pressure and thyroid medications, and something for cholesterol too. I elected several years ago to go on insulin as the pills stopped working. It took me a long time to figure out why.. and once I did, I found motivation to turn my life around. I…

  • I've been working really hard at increasing my steps every day. I even go walking during my break, at least twice a day. Averaging now between 5000 and 7000 steps, but on a really good day when I push myself I can make that 10, 000. So worth the effort. I'm in and will try to log in daily, although I am traveling for…

  • We all slip up once in awhile, but you have got to jump back on the band wagon the very next day! And also realize you should do this for yourself. Lots of women put themselves second to their jobs/husbands/kids.. and after awhile we get so accustomed to it, that we forget about the person inside shouting out for…

  • Thank you for this encouragement to push on. I've been "stalled" for a few weeks now and I was feeling frustrated. But my blood sugars are awesome and staying steady, i feel better, and some of my t-shirts and pants are not as tight as before. And recently someone even commented that my face seemed not as puffy, that they…
