  • August 1st here! Freaking out just a little but I think I've picked a dress that will hide some sins...
  • My magic numbers are 100 and 100 ... 100g of carbs, 100g of protein. That seems to be where my body is happiest. I lift heavy and do intense cardio 2-3 times a week.
  • Planks. You can't spot change, but you can tone the heck out of the muscle underneath.

  • If you ate like crap over the weekend, it's entirely possible you ate like you were at a salt lick. Drink some water. Actually, drink a metric cr@p ton of water, keep doing what you were doing, and I'll bet you post a stellar loss next week. That being said, well done on the 1.4. :)
  • Drink water + hard cardio
  • I go hard for an hour at Zumba (full-out, big movements, lots of hips and arms) and consistently burn about 800 per my HRM. Add another 45 minutes of strength training, and most workout days for me are 1000+
  • I've lost 2# and 2 sizes since I started lifting in March. I'm sold.
  • Don't suppose you checked your heart rate at all? If you had an average, there are a bunch of estimators on the interwebs.
  • At least three times a week, usually for at least 2 hours each time: M: yoga & Zumba; W: lifting & Zumba; S: lifting & Zumba. Bonus cardio sometimes in there if weather's crappy, otherwise 1-2 times a week I end up walking/running outside

  • I've become a store-brand girl ... Aldi's Original is closest to homemade that I've found, for like $1.50 a tub. Target's Archer Farms Spinach and Artichoke hummus ... to die for! I really like it as a topping on grilled meat. On crackers, veg, pita... but the best is putting it on this sinful pesto chicken pizza I get at…
  • Destroyed my core in the weight room Saturday then did a ~900 calorie Zumba class. Felt like crap til yoga last night ... moral of the story: STRETCH!! (and protein. and water.)
  • Came here expecting to read the usual "fat girls have to try in bed; thin girls can lay there and look hot" argument. This is more intriguing. Mostly because I have, on occasion, at various sizes, fallen into bed with male friends, sometimes as a perfectly thought out decision, sometimes as a drunken "oops". Sometimes it…
  • On my second go-round with MFP. Had lost a lot more through straight cardio, then backslid; back fat was omnipresent. This time, incorporating yoga into my routine, I've noticed a huge difference in that area. So strength work and cardio.
  • Just happened to me last fall, which I only discovered because I found a random email in my Spam folder when I was trying to figure out why the loans weren't on my credit report when I was trying to buy a car ... It took about a month from when they disappeared from the .gov site to when they appeared on the purchaser's…
  • Doesn't anyone watch bad '90s TV shows and base their decisions off them? Geeze. I'd totally return the money ... after I bought a bunch of concert tickets and scalped them, thus doubling my money. And shoes.
  • Combat's a lot of almost kick boxing and martial arts like stuff. Again with the songs to kind of break the class up. The one I REALLY like is actually Attack. I think it does the best job for the weightloss while incorporating plyometrics.
  • I find when you're fat, it's really easy to blame relationship issues on your looks. It's easier to say "that dude was a douche" than to address the inside stuff. This is, at least, what I've found in the last two years. On-going battle.
  • There's usually 2 or 3 guys in my yoga classes. But the most hardcore one of all is a guy ... with one hand. Seriously, he does yoga with one hand and a hook. He's my role model.
  • Girls! Revolution is in the vein of LOST and 24 OH and Smash. It's half good and half hate watching. All of these are ones I've gotten caught up in over the holidays!
  • They have a "hidden" menu that's been intriguing to me since I read about it ... http://mypanera.panerabread.com/articlestips/article/access-into-paneras-hidden-menu/
  • Started at 283, size 20-22; it was 40lbs before my gut would let me get into a new size, even though my legs were swimming in my pants. Cups size went down IMMEDIATELY, arms thinned out, but the booty and the stomach were deciding my sizes.
  • Subconsciously thinking that everything bad that happens is because of my weight, particularly when it comes to romance.
  • Resolution #1: Uggg - will obviously lose 20 lbs. #2: Always put last night's panties in the laundry basket. Equally important: will find nice sensible boyfriend and stop forming romantic attachments to any of the following: alcoholics, workaholics, sexaholics, commitment-phobics, peeping toms, megalomaniacs, emotional…
  • Totally depends on your teacher. I adore mine, and she has both the choreography and fitness background to make even traditional dance moves work hard for their money. Example: Merengue March ... if you twist at your waist, not at your knees, it does very very very nice things to your waist line. Belly dancing ... hip hits…

  • Hi all! Second time attempting 30DS -- the first time was VERY early in my process, and then I lost the DVD (shows you how often I clean under my entertainment center ... ) Starting today. I'm 5'10, vacation weight makes current weight unreadable at this point. I've had lousy luck losing pounds on a circuit program anyway,…
  • For any first timers, the best advice I have is to do it a couple times with her jawing at you and then mute her for subsequent days of that level. I prefer my own random workout music to her inane musings.
  • Did this back in the very beginning of my journey and it was a hardcore challenge, and then I lost the DVD. Found it last week. Starting again this evening and happened to glance at the side of the screen and saw this group. Just for the record, I often refer to JM as Satan, so don't mind me. :)
