Some interesting reading here for me guys. I'm doing a ride in July which is just over 200 miles over 2 days. Training is going well, I'm just looking at the nutritional side now, trying to get my head around it :)

Awesome job Bro, I lost my way with insanity after recovery week, starting Month 2 today so watch out for some moaning from my direction. Absolutely great results, but you deserve that for all the hard work you put in . Job Done with Insanity, good luck on Asylum :)

Hi there, you will get plenty of support from MFP friends in your journey. I've been login my calories and exercises since January and have seen some steady results. There is lots of advice and info on MFP, but I found the info in the link below to be great. Have a read of the link and see what you think :)…

Thanks for all your replies, my MFP friends have been great in keeping me motivated. I set my daily calorie goal to my TDEE -20% and have stuck to weighing all my food intake to get an accurate calorie count. I guess I was lucky to start losing weight from the get go and I started insanity 2 weeks into MFP, so that is…

Excellent set of results there mate, especially with the injury you've had. That's inspired me to dig deep tonight for my double session. Well done fella!!
-
Its still feeling good so fingers crossed for later :)
-
I do this, like many others so I can keep a track of the days I exercise and for how long :)
-
I use naked whey protein 80, vanilla velvet flavour http://www.theproteinworks.com/products/protein-shakes/whey-protein/naked-whey-protein-80.html

Great stuff Joe, I had to skip the Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs sessions last night (Sat) as I felt a twinge in my left hamstring running up the stairs in the office yesterday :( I feel guilty cos I took my rest day a day early, strange feeling that lol. Got up this morning stretched off and although it feels slightly sore I…

All you can do Joe, is do as much as you can without causing any further damage. It doesn't matter that this set of results are skewed as you know why and you know your improving :)

Got that tomorrow and have not been looking forward to it all week :( I know its gonna hurt LOADS!
-
I tend to use apples, clementines or strawberries to snack on. I recently bought some protein from the Protein Works, its their Naked Whey Protein 80 vanilla velvet. Mixed with 150ml of water its tastes just like a vanilla milkshake, yum yum! Loving at least 2 of these per day at the moment :) Due to being in Afghan though…

We're ALL crazy, we're doing INSANITY and Shaun T is our new best friend. I love it when he says "take a break if you need it" and then follows it with "keep pushing" Thanks Shaun but I'm trying to die here quietly lol
-
Hi there welcome to the group, I know this will work because so far MFP and Insanity have seen me more motivated than ever before. This group is full of really supportive people and its great to be a part of that. Lets dig deep all!

Pure Cardio followed by Cardio abs is just at the end of this week and i'm not looking forward to it :( On a brighter note I have possesion of my new Polar FT4 HRM so at least I'll get to see how much its killing me as well as feeling it lol.
-
I'm doing Insanity at the moment. I have already decided that i will be moving on to Stronglifts 5x5 after it's finished.
-
Nice one, good effort :)
-
Hi, I've only been using MFP this month, but log in everyday and am progressing well so far. I've sent you and friend request.

Hi with the TDEE method you don't eat back any of your calories from exercise as thats already taken into account in working out the TDEE figure. The TDEE-25% figure you have is your goal calories per day.
-
With all the HRM's out there what was the chances of that. No more shirking anymore, I'll know exactly how hard I'll be working.
-
Well I've bought myself a Polar FT4M heart rate monitor. That's what happens when you're online shopping on a night shift :)
-
Nice, thanks for sharing :)
-
I'm pretty much dying at the end of all each session lol. Glad you've nailed this one :)

Switch kick I counted each leg so the actual figure is 53. Thanks for pointing that out :)
