  • All the Beachbody programs--especially Turbo Jam!
  • Ahhgg, I took green tea supplements (150mg per day) for several months and didn't notice a thing. But that's just my experience.
  • Good luck Amy! Wow, more stressful now that he's out? My husband is active duty Air Guard. I sometimes think, wow, what have I gotten into?? I'm looking forward to his being out!! What makes it so stressful now? Just curious! It is easier to eat better and exercise when they are away, isn't it? My husband doesn't watch…
  • Check this site out--it has some great examples! http://www.intervaltraining.net/HiitTraining-30.html
  • See, that's what I'm saying! Besides, in every OG I've ever been in, there has never been more then 2 olives in the whole bowl. I guess I'm ranting more then anything! I never have eaten the croutons, and my hubby and I each eat an olive. I didn't know that they would drench the salad, viviakay!!!! That's gross. From now…
  • Sorry, I realized I didn't make it clear that it was the plain salad. Per their site, a 'serving' of salad and dressing is 350 calories with 27 grams fat. That doesn't seem correct either, considering a single serving of the dressing is 2 tablespoons and that only gives you 80 calories and 5 grams of fat. They also list a…
  • Anyone know where the calories and fat are coming from in an Olive Garden tossed salad? Even on the OG website, they are trying to say that one serving of salad is 120 calories- 120 calories of WHAT? A whole BAG if Fresh Express salad mix which contains the same nutrient-void contents has 60 calories. Just not seeing it!…
  • Adipex is only intended to be used for several weeks and will actually stop working after this time, which is what it sounded like happened to you, awestfall. Once it stops working, it shouldn't be taken anymore. I'm sure some doctors prescribe it for longer. Good luck, Weeble2008, with your weight loss!
  • And take your check box medical form with you and let it sink to the bottom of the pool!!
  • You're very welcome! I always wonder if I'm giving too much info sometimes and sounding preachy! But I'm really looking out for you! I'm glad the info helped! As for the veggies, ones high in potassium are carrots, RAW cabbage, RAW cauliflower, RAW celery, RAW lettuce, RAW mushrooms, spinach, and tomatoes. I understand…
  • That really surprises me that they would charge you for that! Are you are regular patient? I have dropped off sports physical and daycare forms to my children's pediatrician and they have filled out the forms for me without asking me to pay! Crazy! Glad you found a gym that better suits your needs!
  • I'm so glad you found something you enjoy that helps you get your potassium. As a nurse, though, I have to suggest drinking the reduced sodium V8. Regular V8 has 480 mg of sodium per 8 oz. glass, and if you are drinking several glasses per day you are getting a quarter of your sodium requirements for the day in those 2…
  • They really made it look like Stefan was going to go by the way they were talking. I was so sad, too! Stefan is a cocky jerk!
  • Yup, seen this happen before. Another reason why chew is NASTY!!!
  • The kids and I took some MREs out of my husband's bag after he'd been away on a mission and had a ball trying all of them! The desserts are pretty good, and I like the scones with apple butter (for an MRE, not that they're gourmet or anything!). The pasta dishes are ok, too. Never had the Country Captain Chicken. What's…
  • Ohhh, I think the egg and vegetable omelet MRE comes in close. Nothing like a solid loaf of congealed eggyness. (burp.... )
  • Mixed feelings. First off, not everyone has the luxury of having someone to show them how to cook healthy. There are many resourses out there, via internet, that have wonderful recipes that are good for you. I'm sure there are contestants that know how to cook better then others, so they can all work together. Second,…
  • I didn't order any this year. I even denied my niece who's a GirlScout! Am I a bad aunt or what???
  • If you aren't seeing the scale move, I suggest looking at what you are putting in your mouth. You need to be 100% honest with EVERY MORSEL that goes into your body. If you aren't counting that bite of leftover mac and cheese on your child's plate or those 2 potato chips, thinking they won't matter then you're cheating…
  • This looks fantastic! I love the Lee Kum Kee sauce on scrambled Egg Beaters, too!!
  • Hey everyone, not a veg/vegan but eat that way a lot. I'd love to jump in here now and then and share. Here's a pic and the recipe for my vegan mac n cheese. I just LOVE it!! Vegan "Cheese" Sauce 1/4 cup raw cashews 1 1/2 cups cold water 2 ounces pimientos (half of a 4 oz. jar) 2 tablespoons cornstarch 2 tablespoons…
  • Pesto can be very high in fat. You could make your own using less oil, and pesto goes a long way so you don't have to make as much. Shredded chicken and strips of roasted red pepper and/or artichoke hearts would be yummy! Roasted veggies (red onion, pepper, zucchini, mushrooms) with reduced fat or fat-free jack and a…
  • This is so true! I use and sell the Beachbody products and I am currently doing Chalean Extreme. LADIES, WEIGHTS DO NOT = BULK!!! Lean muscle burns more calories at rest then fat. You also continue to burn fat for hours after a strengh training workout unlike cardio where you just burn the calories during the time of…
  • Love the idea of a dessert bar! Well a dessert ANYTHING! It all sounds really yummy! p.s. I hope you're gonna have someone manning the choc. fountain...those can be gross if people are double dipping or sticking their fingers under it or something.
  • Bread freezes and thaws very easily. Just place them on the counter and let them sit for about 20 min. or so to defrost. I wouldn't microwave because it tends to make them rubbery. Glad they're yummy!

  • I have experienced a similar situation. When my husband and I vacationed in S.C., the home of soul and Southern cooking, we went to a restaurant. I wanted a fat-free dressing on the side, steamed veggies, and my baked potato dry. The waitress too, was such a b**ch to me-and I don't use that work lightly. She would smile at…
  • Technically you still have a muffin-muffins generally don't have sugar or have minimal sugar. Most muffins we eat today are actually cupcakes. So I think a little sprinkled on the top will be just fine! Hope they're good!
