  • I just did day one today!
  • So here's the deal. Fat calories tend to add up quickly compared to protein and carbs (1g fat= 9 calories, vs 1g protein/carbs= 4) so you could have a problem with low calorie fats...in fact, it's not possible to have a low calorie fat, it's literally the point of fat. With that said, half a tablespoon of butter can be…
  • I'm starting p90x3 tomorrow!!! I am SO excited :)
  • Make sure you use a keto calc! This one is pretty good: http://www.ruled.me/keto-calculator/ Best of luck! The first days are HARD, stick with it, it is totally worth it!
  • Hi! 5'8" and I started at 165lbs. I currently weigh 153 and want to get down to 140 (but I am honestly more concerned about body fat%). I know I have less than 20lbs BUT June 30th is my birthday, and I'm turning 20 soooo I want to lose (almost) 20 by 20! Super excited to get to know everyone

  • The first month I was right on time and it was a breeze. I am usually crazy consistent so being two days late is a little weird for me! I have lots of signs that its coming though (bloated, water weight, lack of appetite/insane hunger on a rotating basis). We'll see what happens when I start (and when I actually start!)
  • Sure! Add me and I can be helpful however I can! Whether that is making sure you log, making sure you eat enough, making sure you stick to keto or whatever you need! I log every day and also eat primal (I love dairy, I'm so sorry you are allergic!)
  • You are literally killing your metabolism. I don't want to sound like a jerk, but your body will run as efficiently as possible on what you give it. When you try to add back in calories you will probably "gian" weight. That weight is called muscle.
  • I think the book called The Carb Nite could be an interesting read for you...from my understanding it is essentially what you are already doing, but don't hold me to that 100%!
  • I have about 15 to lose, and that is my birthday! I would love to be at goal weight for my birthday, and I also be finishing p90x3 on the 29th, so it seems very reasonable! Feel free to add me!
  • I'm a broke college student so I got a Jarv HRM from amazon. Even though it was only $40, mine works fabulously, is comfortable, connects to my phone and there are several apps for it that connect to MFP.
  • I measure at my natural waist (the narrowest point), right on my belly button and just below. I get progressively larger as I go down my body so I like to track all three spots to see where I am losing! I tend to lose from my natural waist first, and the under my belly button spot last (grrrr, silly tummy fat).
  • You may also not be eating enough. I know if I am working out that much I have to eat back some of my calories of the scale is a stubborn little thing and won't budge! Make sure you are netting (or nearly netting) your calories!
  • You should check out reddit, their keto section deals with this kind of stuff allll the time!
  • Stir fry? Can be vegetarian or not, can have lots of fiber or not, can be salty or not, can have lots of healthy fats like sesame oil or can be just the body of the stir fry with very little in it. You can have it over rice if you eat grains or eat it just as is! To add more carbs you just put things like carrots and…
  • Do you have food allergies? When you eat under 1200 calories are you avoiding certain types of foods, or certain amounts of foods? For example, if I eat copious amounts of grains (super easy to do with a higher calorie allowance) I gain weight like it's a paid hobby. But if my calorie limit is lower I am only eating…
  • I eat around 1650 a day! Feel free to add me :)
  • Me too^^^^
  • I can tell you that I am at about 26% and I am 5'8" and 155lbs...so yeah, this sounds slightly off
  • Start by just tracking and seeing what you typically eat, and then see where you'd like to make changes! I found I ate a lot more "treats" than I thought I did. If you change one habit at a time it is not as intimidating! Also, if you decide there is a specific way you'd like to eat in terms of general guidelines (whether…
  • I still count my calories! Otherwise I eat too much haha. I also find it helpful to count my calories because if I am feeling particularly motivated for an extended period of time I will try to get into ketosis which is pretty strict on carbohydrate intake. Also, just so you know you're eating more of a "primal" diet,…
  • Sometimes food allergies surface as acne (dairy maybe?).
  • Just so you know, based on your food diary you're not quite eating paleo...Paleo would be absolutely no grains (at all, including rye, wheat, corn, barely and rice), avoiding processed foods, and no legumes (soy, peanuts, beans).
  • Zero pounds. I have changed pant sizes before without losing any weight. Clothes sizing is about body composition, and fat takes up more room than the same amount of weight in muscles do!
  • Do something cheesy, like take a **** ton of sticky notes and write something you love about her on each one and stick them all over your "display." She'll freaking love them, and it will definitely help with the "cluttered" look!!!
  • I want a twin! Female, 19 (20 in June) 5'8" Starting weight: 165 Current weight :154-156 depends on the day! Goal Weight : 145ish, maybe lower mostly I want to be approx. 20% body fat! I also don't eat grains/processed foods because my gene pool sucks, so if you're in the boat too, add me!!!
  • Sometimes it is more about time than how much you've lost! They say it can take up to four weeks for you to really notice the difference, eight weeks for people who are close to you, and twelve weeks for the rest of the world....So give it three months and see how you're doing
  • If you eat grain based carbs for lunch then you will have a glucose induced insulin crash...I'm not saying to stop eating it completely (although you can if you'd like!), but if you reserve it for the evening you may find it easier to stay awake during the day!
  • Use a measuring tape!!! There are days where I wake up and look really good, step on the scale, do a double take and go "no way, that can't be right. How did I gain weight?" However, if I grab a measuring tape, on those same days I have usually lost inches some place or other! Stick with it, you can do it!
  • I have always hated chocolate cake and poptarts, which seems to be in my favor!
