  • Thanks everyone! I am training for a ten miler and a half, so chocolate milk will recovery (and treat :) ) after my long runs!
  • I agree with Erickirb that you need to eat more and more nutrient dense food that don't have that many carbs. If you cut down on your carbs, add more protein, and eat more, you'll see a difference. I try to always over eat in protein and less in carbs. Hope that helps!
  • Wow. My body could not take that much working out in a week. I work out for 30-45 minutes five to six times a week.
  • Hummus and two corn tortilla (170) Non fat greek yogurt with honey (120)
  • Thanks for the recipe! I love Pumpkin pie!
  • Hi! Congrats on trying to lose weight. This website is completely easy to navigate and the support you receive from other members completely helped me out when I hit a plateau. I completely get where you are coming from because when I started my weight loss journey in 2007, I was 180 pounds and a size 14 (although I…
  • Congrats! That is exciting news about your engagement and the ring!
  • Yeah! That's so exciting. It was about two and half years ago that I left the 170s and entered the 160s. It was a great feeling. I remember dancing around my apartment when that happened!!
  • Wow. You look incredible! Keep up the good work!
  • Yep, I hit a plateu a few months ago and I increased my calories. After doing that, I lost the rest of the weight. Enjoy the extra calories!:drinker:
  • I have a problem with your definition of "healthy". Whether you are getting an organic, farm bought, or a normal store item, you are still getting the essential items from it. Yes, in store bought things you are getting pesticides, etc, but it is still is a piece of fruit or vegetable. Personally, If I have a choice…
  • I think the point is to dispel misconceptions about peanut butter. USAG isn't going to sit there and tell you which peanut butter you should buy. I mean if that were the case, then USAG should say that you should buy cage free eggs and organic avocados. I love all those things and I have eaten over the past years to lose…
  • I completely understand. I was under eating for about two years and I didn't lose any weight. In fact, I gained! It takes some time for your body to adjust to being "normal" and not in starvation mode. Just keep doing what you are doing and it'll get there. The best advice is stay under the carbs, and go over for protein…
  • I gained four pounds during my vacation and I am meeting my parents family for fourth of July, so I would like to lose it. I'm in! Sandra - SW143.8/ GW139/CW143.8
  • I lost all the weight!!! When I turned 23, I weighed about 180 pounds. Now, I am 140 POUNDS!! I did it!!! I'm sooo happy. This is going to be such an amazing birthday. Plus, I know it's not coming back b/c I lost it gradually and I've changed my lifestyle. I love this web page and everything it has done for me! I'll…
  • I gave up my biggest vice, alcohol. I am glad to say that in the past week I've lost a 1.5 pounds and I think it's because I gave it up.
  • Congrats! When I hit the initial weight goal, I think I did jumping jacks because I was so excited! Now comes the hard part...maintaining. Good luck!:drinker:
  • I'm giving up alcohol and using my new clarity to work on my communication skills.

  • Skip MGM studios. I remember it being a bust. Obviously do animal planet, and the Magic Kingdom.
  • I think it depends on your body and what you take. I've been on the pill since I was 18. The first pill I took was tri-cycle with heavy estrogen and I gained about seven pounds(lost it all literally a couple weeks I got off it). Now, I'm on a low dosage pill and I haven't gain any weight.
  • someone else just posted something about small peanut chocolate cups that uses splenda. It looks good. You might want to look it up
  • You could technically burn that many calories, because calories burned(especially running) depends on how much you weigh and how fast you are going. If you are unsure, I suggest getting a heart rate monitor that has a calorie burned counter.
  • Before the beginning of the year, I was an only morning work out person, but that changed because it got cold and I also hit a plateau. Now, I work out in the morning some days(mostly for strength training), others in the evening and sometimes during lunch. During the weekend, I usually run mid-day. The best thing to do,…
  • That is so awesome! Little changes here and there are what all of us did(or are doing) to achieve our goals! Congrats!:flowerforyou:
  • So I'm at my weight goal(I added five more pounds to build a cushion for the future), but my thighs are not what I want. I've only lost one inch since I started this journey and i would like them a bit smaller. I run twice a week, use the elliptical twice a week(targeting the thighs), and I do spin once a week. I usually…
  • I think the reason why you might be losing weight slowly on the low cal is because you are eating too little calories. If you are only eating 1200 calories a day, your body may think it's in starvation mode. This may cause you from losing weight fast. Also, as an ex-low carb person, once you get off the carbs(because your…
  • Absolutely love all the recipes you put up here! I'll definitely try this later on this week.
  • If you ate lots of sodium yesterday and bad foods, then it may be water retention. Relax...everyone falters once in a while
  • For the first time in a very long time, I got on the scale this morning and it said....145!!!! I am done! I did it. I am so happy about my weight lost. I think I am going to lose five more pounds!
