I'm not necessarily doing this to lose weight & learn to eat differently. I'm doing it for medical reasons. I didn't post this to be ridiculed or given the third degree. Just to see if there was anyone on mfp going thru this process. If you're not that person, I don't need your opinion.

No, I've done a lot of research and your one article where someone complains that the diet didn't work, when they didn't do it right anyway, isn't going to sway me. Thanks though.

That's an interesting article! But I am cutting out all grains, starches, sugar, etc so fingers crossed it won't be a waste of time for me.

I'm so glad you're all still working toward your goals! The gym I joined is having a 90 day weight-loss competition. The winners get 10K. So, I'm doing that. I don't know if I'll lose nearly enough in such a short amount of time to win but it's a great motivator!!

Ah! I'm so happy that there are still active people here! I lost 22lbs last year and toward the end of the year re-gained 4lbs. This year, I jumped back in 100% and got a gym membership. I'm hoping for a more productive year, this year. Last year I went strong until summer and then faltered.

I haven't been here but I'm back now. I've managed to maintain my weight loss since I stopped doing anything in April. Why'd I quit? In April, my husband lost his job. I started my own business. I started having panic attacks that felt like heart attacks and ended up getting to know a cardiologist on a first name basis. I…

But my really optimistic goal is to be at 200lbs by July 4th. I'm 13lbs away. I don't see how I can achieve that without starvation though. haha

To get back on track. Life has gotten crazy. I haven't gained weight but I haven't been losing. I need to start logging again. The process became tedious to me but I need to keep going. Because obviously it works so it's worth the time doing it. I need to get back into exercising regularly. I'd like to hit 25lbs lost this…

That's so awesome! Congrats!!

I weigh every day. I can't help it. It keeps me on track. If I see the scale creeping up, I'm more careful with my diet.

My excuses... too busy, too tired, don't feel good. Or my knee or foot hurt. Which I think are legit excuses. haha. At least the last three. I need to exercise more for sure. The weight would probably fall off much faster if I did.

I'm still here. I've been sick for two weeks and have kinda taken a break from everything. Still checking in, but not as active. I was down to 216 and now I'm back up to 218. Things are going really, really slowly. It's very frustrating and staying motivated is a struggle. :/

Starting weight (SW) 235 Current Weight (CW) 218 Goal Weight (GW) 130 What are your successes with food? I've been staying within my calorie goals! What are your struggles with food? I need to keep working toward eating cleaner. What are your successes with exercise? I exercise WAY more regularly than I ever have, save for…

Haha! That's a good lookin' ticker! :) Great job on the weight loss!!

6.81% since January.

I do Zumba at home and she likes to do it too. Aside from her bumping into me on occasion, it works out. We also go to the park a lot and we walk the track several times before & after she plays. She's 3 years old. If I'm doing strength training I give her light weights and she tries to mimic me. haha

Honestly, I get whatever I want and just eat less of it.

I'm giving myself mini rewards for each 10lb increment. When I reach the point where I'm ready to just maintain my loss I'm totally going on a vacation somewhere tropical. It'll be a HUGE achievement and the hubs has already agreed to it. :)

I also have PCOS. I'm on birth control to regulate things. I'm losing weight, although a bit slower than others. I suggest reading The Ultimate PCOS Handbook. I read it when I was diagnosed and found it to be really helpful: http://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-PCOS-Handbook-Fertility-Self-Esteem/dp/157324371X Good luck!

Feel free to add me. I have PCoS & a100lb goal as well!
