Eater at or slightly below what mfp has me at for carbs this past week has helped me a bunch with hunger, cravings, eating at or below my calorie intake and the "afternoon slump"! I would say there's no need to go extremely low like some special diets but just make a point to stay at your set carb level

Get a crockpot! Or plan out meals several days ahead of time & the night before make the dinner and put it in the fridge to heat up the next day. Also, I like to eat easy things sometimes (oatmeal with blueberries, half turkey and cheese on whole wheat)

I don't think flow has ever mattered for me---I usually stay a little heavier most of the week and then it goes away
