  • Sure. Starting weight: 178 Ending weight 153 5'4"
  • Add me! I have a 2.5 yr old and a 7 wk old so the baby weight and belly pouch are there.... Oy! I'm 25 lbs heavier than my first pregnancy, so I'm here for a journey!
  • Totally understand!! I have 20 pounds to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and from that point I'd like to make a new goal to lose an additional 10. Here we go!
  • I am 28 years old, 5'4'' and weight 138. When I started MFP in March 2011, I was weighing in at about 153, which is close to my highest weight. When I got married 5 years ago (close to it, anniversary next month) I weighed 138. Ideally, I'd like to get close to 130, but I'm happy with this for now! It's all about a…
  • Don't mind my ignorance, but when you say you add spinach to smoothies, do you mean in the form of spinach leaves like lettuce, or the frozen spinach?
  • 1) I have reached my goal after 12.5 weeks with MFP and am adjusting it to lose another 5 lbs or so. 2) I have literally JUST started using free weights. 5 lbs (although I think I need to purchase 8 -10 lbs for some of the exercises): bicep curls, tricep curls, and some interesting exercises with the weights that I found…
  • Awesome idea!! Will add some later...
  • My butt loses the first, which always feels odd when my pants are SAGGING in the back... goodness! The most stubborn part is definitely my tummy, darn it all.
  • I notice that I seem to rotate a lot of the same things from week to week. Here are a few: Fat free cottage cheese, cut up veggie pack (cucumbers, green peppers, and carrots), and a fruit Michelina's lean gourmet chicken buffalo pizza rolls Homemade chicken salad made from canned chicken and fat free mayo and cantalope on…
  • Hmmm... #1: Fitting into my clothes that haven't fit well for about 4 years now. #2: Seeing myself in a picture and not thinking my face looks fat.
  • Hot caramel lattes - or practically any foo-foo drink from Starbucks or Dunkin' Donuts. I have found a 100 calorie Starbucks frappuccino that is good though, so that saves me!
  • Nearly everyday, I have a peanut butter banana smoothie and it keeps me full for about 3 hours until I have a mid-morning snack. Check my food diary for ingredients/portions and add a handful of ice. Yummm! The days I don't have the smoothie, I miss it!!
  • bump! thanks for sharing!
  • I can't help you with that info BUT I will say you do not look like you have thunder thighs. I know when we all look at ourselves, we are much more critical, but you look great! I say keep up the good work, and work it. :) Good job!
  • I have noticed how many sweets are at work in general, and decided just to ignore all of them completely. Sometimes I do get "guilted" if it's someone's birthday and I don't want to have a piece of the birthday cake, but whatev. I will admit, when family, friends, or neighbors give us sweets (especially around Christmas),…
  • You are not alone! I also feel as though I'm doing well by eating healthy, but I work 50 hours a week, I'm in grad school, and I have a photography business on the side. Until I'm done with school, I feel like I have zero time to exercise! I have made a teeny tiny goal to try and exercise ONE day a week of cardio, and then…
  • The hard part for me on the weekends is an issue with eating out. Normally we go out to dinner for 'date night' Friday or Saturday night, and so many restaurants are horrible for you!! Before we go out, I look up the menu/nutritional information for that restaurant so I can stick to my guns. For example, last weekend we…

  • While at work yesterday, my boss came into my cube while I was docking my laptop and say "Wow, how much weight have you lost?" and gave me a high five. :) Perfect way to start the morning!!
  • To prevent myself from eating empty calories, I have been cutting up different veggies and putting them in baggies so they are prepared and ready to grab when I need a snack. I notice if I only cut up one type of veggie, I get bored eating it, so I try to put a variety in the baggies so my mind doesn't get bored.
  • I try to drink only water or decaf teas, but absolutely take a calcium supplement to keep my bones strong. I've noticed a great improvement in my skin with drinking only water too!

  • I felt the same way the first two weeks, but something seemed to change for me during week three. It just takes your body some time to get the hang of your new eating pattern and working out (if you are). Everybody's body is different, but hang in there and you'll see results!
