I also just started overnight oats. I like freeze-dried strawberries mixed in with rice milk, banana, rolled oats, and chia.

It is sad that we have to ask others to be nice when posting an innocent question on here. But you're smart to do that because you never know what you will get when readers reply! Good luck with helping your husband gain weight.

I didn't have one, but thereshegoesagain inspired me. I just opened a savings account to save $2018 by the end of the year. Maybe I'll go on a shopping spree, or dedicate it to something I want by then.

I'm late to the party, but want to join! I have actually been contemplating going sober because I am applying to grad school and feel like I will be better at my profession if I stop drinking completely. I can at least commit to doing it for 30 days, then. And, I happen to be 4 days in already! I am inspired by everyone's…

There is usually something you can do that will not reproduce or aggravate the pain. If you feel guilty, maybe a gentle, but long walk is in the cards. That's not what you had planned, but it's still movement, burns calories, and might make you feel better psychologically. If you cannot find anything gentle that is…

Does the running store you went to have a reputation online or with fitness and health professionals in the area for being honest and good at fitting shoes? You may want to find out. For example, did they recommend you go up a size and a half in the shoe itself so that your toes can spread, or other sound advice like that?…

I am sorry to hear that snuck up on you by not logging! I am also to create structure and support doing it. I would like friends who log, but especially who complete their diaries everyday. I struggle with that and I think the more friends I have who complete them, the better I will do too. If that sounds like something…

I highly value my quality of life over any career. That includes making sure I have time to workout! Somehow I am managing it most of the time, even though I am a full-time student with a few side jobs. Money is temporary, but how you feel about yourself is what really sticks with you!

There's also a fitbit group on MFP called Fitbit Users. You can find people with the same model, ask product questions, etc. Enjoy!

There's some concoction of cider vinegar, cayenne, turmeric, etc that my husband researched and makes me and it keeps me from getting a real sinus infection. That in combination with the lymphatic drainage I saw on a old video that was circulating on social media. Hope you can find them!

https://www.fitbit.com/user/3QSC6P I have been wearing my Charge HR for a week now and am loving it. I am looking for some friends who have similar workout habits for a little friendly competition/encouragement/celebration. Does anyone want to be my first fitbit friend?

I use a clothing rental service. It is pretty affordable and gives me a chance to try things I would normally assume would not look good on me. If you are losing weight these programs are a really good idea. No need to invest in a new wardrobe when they do the cleaning and you never have to wear the same thing twice!

The struggle is real. I lose my mind if I do not workout though, and I allow myself the time to do it because my focus is better once I have exercised. No doubt it is not easy and not always possible to be healthy in school.

Ready or not, make wise choices! I saw a lot of terrible things happen during my Spartan. I do not want to scare you, but get as ready as you can and then be intelligent during the thing :)

What does your trainer recommend?

How does it make you feel? What are your cravings and eating habits when you have it? I would always prefer a stop in the coffee shop, but it's tempting not to get that delicious-looking muffin to go with.

Haha thanks for sticking up for me. You are so supportive! Some of you really get the "Pal" part of this don't you? ;)

Thanks new friend! :)

Thanks for all your responses. I added a bunch from here and the requests that came pouring in and am already worried I won't know everyone well enough to be a solid friend so am going to keep it there for now. Thanks and wishing you all great success!

I ran 4 miles, my longest EVER and then did a hip hop class accidentally. I meant to just go check out a new gym and when I got there it was free for the grand opening so I murdered another 461 cals. I'm tired!

This is a good answer. I prefer to tell myself I burn more when I'm out of shape :p It makes me feel more motivated haha.

At first I was surprised to read your headline and then find you were a fitness professional too. But I appreciate your humbleness. And we are all different, that's why there is no ONE answer. Do both if you want to cover all your bases! Hearts need to pump too :)

I think a slow weight loss is the MOST impressive! And the most lasting :) Good job!

I think you should do any exercise you ARE going to do. A strong yoga practice is better than nothing and is going to help you possibly build strength and muscle tone… which helps you burn more calories when you do cardio. I find the skinny yoga girls at my studio very motivating :) I think I can attribute a little success…

I guess you could always experiment with eating 3 eggs: 1 including the yolk and the other 2 have just the whites.. Or something like that if you are concerned and must have some yolk.
