Me! I've been doing low carb for a couple months now. I work out Monday-Friday with both cardio and heavy lifting.

I teach algebra 1 and we were supposed to have a pi day celebration today. Five bonus points to anyone who brings in a pie. There's no school because of the snow storm and I'm not sure what to do with all of this jello

Add me! I'm 22, 5'6" and 135 lbs. I'm currently focusing on a high protein diet with heavy lifting.

22 here!

I lost 40 pounds binge drinking 1-3 nights a week when I was in college (I'm a recent graduate). -Liquor and diet soda are your friend. -Try your best to avoid drunk snacks. I learned to go home and cook potato wedges with cheese if I really needed it instead of eating out. -Plan for it during the week. Exercise a little…

Oh my gosh you look fantastic... and this only took two months? You're an inspiration. I drink optimum nutrition gold standard. I have the chocolate flavor and it's 120 calories. I mix it with about 1/3 cup skim milk and 1/3 cup water. (Milk and water mix sounds gross but I promise it's good).

A chocolate protein shake or a cup of tea usually does it for me. I try not to keep anything that might tempt me in the house because I tend to not have much self control.

I made THE BEST black bean and vegetable soup last night. It was sooooo easy, really good, and SUPER healthy. I'm on a high-protein diet so I added an extra can of beans. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/12999/black-bean-vegetable-soup/?internalSource=hub%20recipe&referringContentType=search%20results&clickId=cardslot%202

I'm 5'6" and I started at 175 pounds too. My original goal was 150 pounds, then once I reached that I made smaller and smaller goals until I got under 125 pounds. I'm 135 and focusing on strength training now. When I was losing weight, I discovered that I loved to run and ran one mile further each week until I was ready…

THANK YOU!!! This is exactly what I needed to know. I'm seeing some pretty huge fluctuations on the scale. Before I started lifting I was around 133 pounds, but this morning I was 138.8

I'm 5'6" and 135 pounds. I'm sort of flabby and I just started stronglifts a few weeks ago. I'd like to gain a bit of muscle. Should I be eating at maintenance and doing this recomposition stuff or should I stay at a slight deficit? I could technically lose more weight but I'm right in the middle of the healthy weight…

Oooooooh I can see those abs peeking out. What's your secret?
-
First day! Struggled a bit with the bench press.

Okay!! Thanks everyone. I plan to start stronglifts tomorrow. I'm sort of worried about my form and making sure I'm doing everything right, but I suppose that will come with time and plenty of YouTube videos. I'm really excited to have something new to work on. I have soooo much to learn.

Can someone who has success with stronglifts add me and give me basically every detail I need to know? I REALLY want to do it but I need advice.
-
And that's more effective than going to the gym and lifting random stuff for 60 minutes a few times a week?
-
Okay, so I'm looking at stronglifts and basically you do five sets and five reps of three exercises, right? Do I do anything more than that? How long does that take each day. What if I also want to run? I've never felt so stupid about anything in my adult life. I know what I want to look like, but I have no idea how to get…

I usually celebrate with a glass or two of red wine

Stealing any ideas you get because I have the same dilemma. Do you have access to a microwave? I usually pack leftovers from the night before. I also do salads and Greek yogurt sometimes. If I'm really short on food I just throw together pretzels, fruit, and some almonds. For breakfast I'm starting to get into overnight…

Lowering your body fat percentage will help a little with running, but the BEST way to get better at running is to run more. Keep pushing yourself and running longer distances. When I started running I was 173 pounds and ran 1-2 miles at a time... Since then I've worked my way up to running a half marathon. One of my best…

Cheez its. Once I got high and ate an entire box. I don't buy them because I have no self control. I have air popped popcorn when I'm feeling snacky.

Congrats on training for the half!!! I make homemade pizza and bread and they're awesome for carbing up before a long run! Seriously, sometimes I eat half a pizza then run 10 miles. Afterwards, PROTEIN!! Beans, chicken, etc. I LOVE food so running is my balance. Today I ate three pieces of homemade pizza, ran, and then had…

Leftover slow cooker chicken. Lots of protein. Highly recommend. I live by myself so I'll get six meals out of it, once tonight and one every day this week. http://www.tasteofhome.com/recipes/slow-cooked-southwest-chicken

I lost a lot of weight during my junior year of college. I didn't go to the dining hall, but I also didn't eat hot pockets and ramen. You can eat pretty cheap by learning to cook. Rice, pasta, frozen/fresh vegetables, beans, stuff in cans, chicken, potatoes... You can make a homemade pizza for like $3 (I know that doesn't…

Yesterday someone yelled "hey shawty wanna suck this d*ck" out their car window at me... What a kind offer

In addition to resting and doing exercises that are easier on your joints, get fitted for a good pair a running shoes. Seriously, if you're running, shoes make a huge difference. You'll probably spend over $100, but that's much better than messing up your body.

Hi! I'm Kelly. I lost 50 pounds and reached my goal weight, but I gained 15 back. I'm trying to lose that 10-15 pounds and put on a little muscle!
