Find some group fitness classes you like and go to those.....I skipped a class last night because I was EXHAUSTED, and I felt like I was letting the teacher and the other people who go down! (Probably good that I skipped because I really was exhausted, but still....)

I adore getting things in the mail (I love my Birchbox beyond belief). Can you recommend nibble box vs. light box?

Long story on why we can't live in the house, but basically all of our stuff is already packed and I don't want to move it back, unpack, then pack AGAIN, move it AGAIN, then unpack AGAIN. The issue with my FIL and dishes is that while they have a nice large kitchen, it because very small with 2 adults, a LARGE adult doing…

1/2 apple does NOT equal a small lunch. That isn't even a snack!

Also consider glucosamine supplements. Those have really helped me with joint pain due to repetitive stress injuries (first belly dancing, then running).

I once saw a little Tumblr meme thingie that said something along the lines of if you see a food in a commercial, you shouldn't be eating it, and that is pretty much true. (with the exception of Nutella)

I take antidepressants and my weight loss has pretty much stalled. Sigh. However, without them I'm kind of psychotic (I take them for anti-anxiety purposes) and when I tried to wean off on my own I almost had a public breakdown. I will say that my desire to exercise since starting them has definitely waned, since before I…

We always joke that at our nearby schools, the only cooking tools the lunch ladies need are a box cutter and a can opener.

I've always found grapes to be pretty sweet....I don't know that I've ever had a grape and said, "Gee, I wish this was sweeter."

We're already friends, so I am just here to say that you got this, girl!

I think y'all are right. He recently gave up Mt. Dew and his stomach got so much flatter, so I'm hoping that as he sees the changes, he will like that enough to keep at it. I think the best thing I can do is to just persevere and hope to either 1) find something he likes or 2) make him do enough exercise that he just gets…

We don't have a gym membership, so it would have to be at home, and we don't have room (or the money) for any large equipment here. The other issue that I might not have emphasized is how much he HATES exercise. The reason I started having him join me on the HIIT workouts is because they do so much in such a small amount…

Plus, remember that everything there costs 5x what it would anywhere else, so that might help you walk past the funnel cake!

I've never been to Disneyworld (Land when I was a kid), but it's such a dream that I occasionally do research. And given how much I love food, I often read about the delicious food there. I seem to recall seeing an article about healthy choices at both parks, so if you google that, you might be able to make some plans for…

He can't do cardio because his knee is really messed up and where we currently live biking isn't safe. (We will be moving in the next year, and will have good access to bike trails, and he really wants to start biking once we move) We have been doing short HIIT routines....like 10 minutes short.

Bumping so people see this! I'm trying to increase my protein intake and looking for protein powders, but scared to take the plunge into the giant buckets because I definitely don't like to waste, so I will try really hard to use it all!

I think it is just different for different people. Personally, I LOVE carbs, but I feel better when I eat fewer carbs.

I completely agree with all who say don't drink if you don't want to! If you DO want to drink, in moderation, I am a HUGE fan of the water with each drink (I just recently FINALLY started doing this and now I'm a convert!) and drink a strong flavored alcohol with club soda, since you can't really do diet drinks. You still…

I can't eat a lot of fast food....you know those times when you can't cook, like if you are traveling, or moving, or whatever, and you have to eat out for a few days? Oh, I start to feel SICK! I also really don't like the very fake stuff, like McDonald's. It tastes good at the time, but then makes me feel sick, and that…

It took me a while to be able to give up Coke Zero, even knowing how bad diet soda is. I just had to keep reading articles about what it does to the body, and one day it clicked. http://thechart.blogs.cnn.com/2013/07/10/diet-soda-may-do-more-harm-than-good/ http://www.ksl.com/?nid=1010&sid=24552939…

If you are feeling satisfied and losing weight, then by all means, keep doing what you are doing!

I was originally at 1500 and that felt SO restrictive, and once I upped it to 1900 I rarely meet that number but feel completely satisfied!
-
Man, I wish I would have thought of this! Problem solved. Anywho, OP, I have the SAME dang problem, since I'm usually starving while preparing dinner. If you find yourself snacking while cooking because of pure starvation, like I tend to, you might want to start cooking earlier. I have finally accepted that I'm just…

There's tons of scientific evidence that either fasting or consistently eating below maintenance levels with promote longevity and prevent various diseases, but I'd honestly rather die a bit sooner and be happier! I could barely manage a 1500 calorie day (though strangely at 1900 calories I rarely meet that goal).

Dang, girl! That is awesome!!!

I need sound to come through the internet.....that line between sarcastic and *****y is just so thin.

I love PB2, though I haven't yet tried the PB2 with chocolate. However, I'm a liquor gal, all the way. In fact, on the rare occasion when I do drink wine, my alter ego comes out, and my husband doesn't like her. I think she's hilarious. He thinks she's obnoxious.

I need to find this beer! Also, the song now running through my head is from Hamlet 2...."Rock me, rock me, rock me sexy Jesus!"
