  • I plan on making sure I work out 5 days a week. I want to eat until I'm full and not out of boredom. Some days I know I'll eat over my calorie goal I suspect in a week or so as Sweet P will be 6 weeks and that's a typical newborn growth spurt. So it will be hitting my macros I really focus on. I'll have my husband measure…
  • I can cook a soft fried egg in the same time it take to toast my husbands toast. So I do that with a slice of cheese on top and pepper and eat it right off the spatula
  • I would love to join a November challenge. I am actually starting to work out again in November so I would like to track my consistency and possibly inches lost also.
  • We just went for wings at a local shop at our market. Amazing!!! My second choice for non market days is Buffalo Wild Wings!
  • I have heard of people who trade their kids candy for a toy or a book that they want. Maybe your daughter would trade the candy for something she likes. Then you can donate it all.
  • People can add me to! I'm also low carb not Keto but I to like to see others diaries and seeing the progress other have made.
  • Ive seen bras that have built in flasks. You go in a DD come out a B
  • I make a lot of broth and freeze the extras so I always have some on hand. If it's the sodium your like about the cubes you can always salt your broth. Broth has so many health benefits when cooked for a long time so the bones are soft. But as the pp said it is a personal choice of what works for you.
  • I'm in Alberta and there is lots of local farmers that treat their animals well. They also are not certified organic but use the same practices as its costly to become certified. Also organic certification has but many many farmers out of business because of the cost. I'm hoping to either do a bulk chicken and turkey order…
  • My first post on this thread and I've only really started to try lower carb again the past two weeks and it has kicked my butt! Constantly craving sugar has not been fun. But today I satisfied it with whip cream and blueberries (One of my sons favourite!) and I did not give in to wanting to dig into the Halloween stash.
  • I should check out your diary I have no problem reaching fat goals it's my protein that I don't hit and it's usually made up of carbs
  • I really enjoy it cooked with some bacon fat and then add in the cooked bacon. I always cut out the stem though. That's just tough and nasty to me. Kale chips are awesome. I like it with salt and garlic powder or as a special treat I'll add Parmesan sprinkled on. A raw kale salad is really good to.
  • I make chocolate with coconut oil, cocoa powder and a little honey. Sometimes there's mint or peanut butter. I'm 3.5 week post pardom and have been eating a lot of chocolates ☺️ I'm just starting LC again since getting pregnant so it's an interesting transition back.
  • I find local farmers that may borne registered as organic but use organic practices. My province just this past aug had a meet the provincial farmers day. I was unable to go but am planning on it next year. I have found a chicken farmer who sell chicken backs (with a little bit of meat still!) for $1.25lb where if it was…
  • No I have no excuse either as I'm a SHAMand was home most of the day. TPBM does all the cooking in the house.
  • Hey! How are you two doing with your new little ones?
  • Mine is not low carb but I like paleo parents (they have 3 boys) it's a family thing for them. The nice thing is they do it a family but go deeper into each persons specific needs (fighting ADHD, working with skin issues, allergies and joint issues.)
  • I'm suppose to take D drops as I live in Canada. But I rarely remember. I also take new chapter prenatal right now as my little guy is 10 months and I'm still nursing plus we plan on having a million kids so I will keep taking them until we are done then switch to their woman's multivitamin. I also take fish oil when our…
  • You could always try ordering off of amazon. The Namaste brand is my favourite. However I now enjoy eating a lot of grain free like paleo because the gluten free options were making me not feel that great either. My blood sugar would spike and crash quickly also my joints were getting sore. So now it is an occasional treat.
  • I aim to eat them all. But if I'm not to hungry I don't worry about going under because I know in the next day or two I'll make up for it. It's all a balance. However right now I'm breastfeeding so I do try to make sure I get close to my goal to make sure I'm making enough milk even when I'm not to hungry.
  • I've never had the search work for me I get old dead threads when there is for sure a more recent active one.
  • I use to do half marathons (before my son I'm hoping to get into it again soon) and agree with going over for fats for training. I would recommend going up to at least 40% fat it helps to keep you fuelled for your longer runs a lot better then carbs. At least that's what I found. I'm not up to 65% fat and 20% carbs it's…
  • I'm from western Canada and for my husband (3000-3600cal a day) myself (1900-2300cal a day) and our 11 month old who is a big eater. Plus company about 2x a week we spend about $200 a week including toiletries and cleaning supplies. I usually shop a few stores and build my meal plans around what is on sale and work to get…
  • Oh I forgot to say Congratulations on your success! I hope you will find your next goal just as successful!
  • I'm not sure why but I find people have a hard time when others have success or want to change. I know a lot of people are supportive of my changes but at the same time it just shows how people like to be comfortable and always stay the same.
  • My husbands cannot even join me because he wants to buy all the junk food all the time. He once went by himself (I did not know because I was working late and he wanted to surprise me) and he spent my entire 2 week budget for a few days worth of food bad foods however he was so proud that he found so much organic and GMO…
  • My midwife once told me she finds more protein and fats in a diet helps to make lean babies and carbs tends to make bigger babies. Her general observation was that woman who ate more carbs and not enough fats and protein tend to eat more calories hence larger babies. I was NOT wanting to push out a huge baby from my lady…
  • Days that I don't eat eggs I like to make Nom Nom paleo pancakes with whip cream and fruit. Or I'll make some pan fried veggies. A mix of onions, squash, greens and use cheese or avocado for fats and protein.
  • I'm still nursing my 10 1/2 month old. He loves nursing and he loves solids. He loves food just like his mama. Lol. I lost all my pregnancy weight (16lbs) near the beginning then he started solids and around 7 months when he really started to enjoy it more and nurse less I gained back about 7lbs because I did not adjust my…
  • I'm still nursing my first son who is 10 1/2 months. He is a great solid eater but still loves to nurse. I had lost my pregnancy weight pretty quickly (16 total) but started to gain after he started solids (I did not eat less when he started to nurse less) also some at Christmas and was over weight by about 15 lbs before I…
