  • Ithaca lemon beet hummus! It’s ridiculous. So yummy.
  • Hey everyone... I’ve been on mfp off and on for years. Tomorrow is Monday and I want to start tracking again. I’m just about my highest weight right now, will weigh in the morning. I’m such an on again off again girl and am trying everything I can think of to make the motivation stick this time around.
  • A1 steak sauce on everything... cauliflower, noodles, mashed potatoes, on bread... feels good to confess that lol
  • Thinking of you! Make some to-do lists so you can check things off and feel productive  Work at what you want and good things will happen! Find ways to bless others while you are trying to get ahead, and surround yourself with positive people. You got this, keep the prayers going, and I will pray for you too!
  • Started at 185 in November... Currently 175 and goal is 145. So 30 to go and I am 5'4
  • Hi ladies! I'm 5'4 with 30-35 lbs to lose and I'm 35 please add me too!
  • Good for you finding something you like! I've tried several times to cut out coffee and I have a hard time (I like too much cram and sugar as well). Many of the comments just make it seem like each poster is trying to prove how smart they are to people they don't even know by trying to find some kind of fault with your…
  • I am a nurse and I work the same schedule... I can't sleep with an empty belly either.. I'm usually too tired for anything too involved so I usually eat a Greek yogurt with granola and a fruit before bed.
  • I brush my teeth when my kids do so that I am less likely to snack at night. I also come on MFP to read a few motivating posts to keep me in it. Also, the suggestion to just go to bed is a good one! Most of us could use the extra sleep by going to bed early now and then. I also weigh myself daily. I think about how extra…
  • thanks for posting these... I am a big pasta fan and going to see if I can track these down...
  • I think it would be worse to take your own dinner than to just skip it all together. Bringing your own food says "what you are eating is not good enough for me" You also do not zip out after an hour to make it to your class. your family is going to feel that your routine is more important to you than they are :o(
  • Very very sweet :o) It sounds like you guys are quite serious about eachother... I urge you to take it nice and slow... since you asked, i think too much physical too early can ruin a relationship. Glad things worked out the way you wanted!
  • that can happen to me with acidic or spicy foods... hunger pains are usually due to stomach acid sloshing around with no food to gnaw on... so it makes sense to me that acids of spices from food could do the same thing... have you noticed what foods it happens with? I would just take a tums and see if you feel better :o)
  • i have something similar in the crockpot but i added a can of black beans, a green pepper and an onion chopped up. I didn't add the mushroom soup because i wasn't going off a recipe, but maybe i should...
  • i eat them once or twice a week. I don't think they're ideal and I usually eat something else on the side. But they're convenient..
  • I don't have one either, and my goal is to eat half my exercise calories back. I think you are safe doing that. You aren't going to go into "starvation mode" over something like that, and it gives a little leeway for overestimating exercise cals, and underestimating food cals. Good luck!
  • I think it can be more expensive... when you are trying to fill up your plate with fresh veggies, and less calorie intense pasta and rice, it is more expensive. Granted, the prepacked frozen meals and boxes and boxes of snacks are expensive, so if thats how you were eating before than healthy eating isn't more expensive.…
  • baked turkey drumsticks, garlic smashed potatoes, homemade summer squash tomato basil soup, and sweet peas
  • i for one... do not plan to log food for the rest of my life. that thought is extremely overwhelming. And it is not normal/natural/good old days life that we all seem to be striving for. I really hope to get to the point where i don't need to track any more. I have basically taken the last month off and while i haven't…
  • try eating back only half your exercise calories... if it doesn't work, it doesn't work. but it can't really hurt to try it. good luck!

  • I don't know this particular restaurant... but most seafood restaurants still have chicken and steak. Its one meal I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can always order some sort of salad...
  • I never have trouble eating all my calories... lol.. so these types of posts blow my mind.... but just remember that mfp can sometimes overestimate on calories burned, and we tend to underestimate when we track even when measuring. For these two reasons i try to only eat half my exercise cals back.
  • BMI has to set their limits somewhere... obviously everyone is different. You sound pretty confident in your health, so why would you worry about a silly label?
  • Oh I created a mixer for my girlfriends and i at a bbq that was like 2 parts low sugar cran raspberry, 2 parts diet 7up and 1 part vodka... floated some lime slices in the pitcher. named it "mama juice" lol... it was delicious! ~100 cals for 6 ounces.
  • rum and diet coke sugar free cranberry juice w/vodka nothing is low cal if it contains alcohol because the alcohol itself is laden with sugar... i think 1 oz of vodka has ~80 cals? which is fine for 1 drink of course... if you're doing 3 or 4 it adds up fast!
  • good advice nay shel.. everything i would have said!
  • If you can find a way to get some time in for exercise, some of the other things will fall into place. When I am consistently exercising my energy level is better to do what I need to do. Maybe take the dog for some nice looooong walks to tire him/her out! I hope you feel better soon.. Feelings like that are not fun. Try…
  • You will get mixed answers on this question from this sight.... I think you can find someone on here who will tell you that anything is bad for you. I love corn on the cob in the summer and although you can't load up on it like you could cucumbers or spinach or broccoli... its not that bad. If you have room in your…
  • considering your height and weight.. i bet at 10 pounds it will be pretty noticeable.. I started at 175 and 10 pounds in people were noticing here and there. Now, 20 pounds in I hear something nice almost every day :o) :o) And my husband is checking me out like a teenager lol.
