I can 100% say if I had a CGM 5 years ago, I would not have slid into type 2. The foods recommended to me by the dietitian, even at measured portions, shoot my sugar up too high, leading over time to huge highs and lows. 4 oz chicken breast, no sauce, 1 cup broccoli, half cup whole grain brown rice, plus an apple...…

Feel free to add me. I've been keto since November, nearly 8 months, I've lost only 46 pounds, so pretty slow loser, but at least the scale is going in the right direction. My diary is open to anyone. I've recently switched up macros a bit to overcome a 6 week stall, lowered the fat and raised my protein helped, since I've…

Sending request! I'm Keto and open diary, very slow loser, 150 plus pounds to lose.

I love breakfast! I eat bacon, eggs and cheese with a few cups of spinach at around 1:00pm. Keto and IF :)
-
keto + IF with open diary, please add if you are the same! Always looking for meal ideas!

Keto here too!

Hi all, been doing Keto about 6wks now, looking for menu inspiration. My diary is open, please add me if your is too! The holidays are hard, but I'm gonna get through it!

I'm getting plenty of protein in fact often going over my 70gr per day. I guess I should have been more clear, it's becoming difficult to find high fat foods that are also not protein rich, besides adding butter and cheese to everything, I was hoping to find people with similar issues. I'm allergic to avocado and trying to…

They are very tricky. Some add in the data for all of the oil used to cook, which of course doesn't get absorbed or consumed. You also have to consider the weight of the bones, which can be up to half. When I make them at home I weigh the before and after, but that would be awkward at a restaurant!! LOL I would just go…

I do 16:8 in conjunction with Keto and less than 1400cals a day, it's pretty easy because I'm not all that hungry most days due to the keto. You still have to restrict your calories if you are going to lose weight, you can still cram a ton of food in an 8hr window so make good choices for your body! I find the days that I…

Mine is open, similar stats :)

I'm going to try the arrowroot! Thank you!

What do you think would work best for turkey gravy so that my family wouldn't notice a difference? I currently use about a TB of all purpose flour.

That looks delicious!!

Where can you find info on the PCOS friendly foods? I'm currently doing Keto, it's low carb, but want to make sure I'm not aggravating my condition with the wrong choices . I do feel good though!

Hello everyone! I love reading your entries, all of you so inspirational! I've been struggling lately. Scale just isn't moving, which I guess is good that it's not going up, but man... I really want the losses. I do know what my problem is though, 100% lack of activity. I've been on-point calorie wise, but the lack of…

90% feaster 10% constant craver. Makes sense to me why fasting works for me. Easier not to over-eat when I don't start and I also do 16:8 on non-fast days to keep it in check.

few squeezes of lemon juice, garlic salt and a drizzle of olive oil. Great topping for a salad.

Thank you for all this inspiration! I've been at a stall for the last few months, and can't quite find my sweet spot anymore. Restrict? not restrict... neither is working well. So, I'm just going to go with it and see how it goes. Thinking my deficit has been far too low on non-fast days. If I add it all up, and I'm truly…

I finally broke through a long plateau and lost the 4lbs I gained at Thanksgiving over the Christmas holiday. Surprised me for sure because I was SO GOOD and kept up the fasting and counting over Thanksgiving and gained weight that just wouldn't budge. Took about two weeks off for Christmas, didn't log, but was mindfully…

I generally skip breakfast and lunch. Keep myself super busy during the day and have about 400 calories for dinner. It is usually a large salad with fat free dressing, small steak, chicken breast, or fish, and half a sweet potato and always a portion of steamed veggies like broccoli, chard or spinach. I then have around…

I combine 5:2 and 16:8 because it's just easier for me to keep things steady on fasting days if I routinely skip breakfast.

Hello all!! Gonna start checking in here :-) Returned home from my super long vacation/break on Saturday. Decided to kickstart the New Year (and flush the body) with a good long fast, 48 hours water only. It felt wonderful, after the first day I wasn't hungry at all, but had this nausea that wouldn't go away, so broke fast…

As long as he is supportive and not hindering your efforts, all is golden. It took mine 5 months to "see the light" and now he is sorta on board and eating/exercising better. I know I'd have been pretty peeved had he pushed me. I gave him the same courtesy. You can only make change when you WANT to make change. I think the…

Two things have helped me tremendously. Cutting out sugar and processed foods and moving more (parking further away, getting up from desk to take a few laps around every half hour, taking the stairs...etc) The FitBit has really helped me to gauge active versus non active days, and then I eat accordingly.
-
I'm also in the 100+ club. Taking it slow, and trying to increase activity! I log daily, add me if you would like :-)
-
One of my goals is to be more active on a daily basis than I used to be. I log things like Heavy Cleaning as 1 calorie, so it doesn't affect my calorie number, but I can still have it on my list of activity. It helps me at the end of the week to track if I'm making progress to be more active.

Everyone is different. Congrats on your achievements and continued success!

1200 isn't too low for me! In fact, it's right about maintenance. 5'2" 260 pounds, 44yrs old woman. Log, weigh everything, wear a FitBit and keep track of it all. Some people are just slower burners than others.
