  • I like pretty much any "Newman's Own" dressings (or salsas, pasta sauces, etc, etc)

  • My husband has not bought me a gift since we were dating (we've been married since 2003). A few years ago my sister gave me a set of bed sheets for a twin sized bed (I have a queen). The sheets had little cars & flowers all over them. My guess: either garage sale or regift?
  • I am so sorry. This might help you recognize your feelings & get you through them. I googled stages of grief & here is a site I found: http://www.recover-from-grief.com/7-stages-of-grief.html Here is to hoping & praying that you reach the stage of acceptance & hope soon. Do not be afraid to talk to a counselor about what…
  • Maybe you could find some activity that she likes to do that doesn't feel like exercise that you guys could do together - like taking a martial arts or a dance class. Buy both of you guys rollerblades or find a place that will give horse riding lessons. Maybe learning to scuba dive together or something else that is fun…
  • If i were you, I'd start experimenting with different ways to eat veggies. Maybe with enough spices & if they are cooked a certain way you would like them? Do you like beans? Try doing a google search for things like "Healthy vegetarian Indian recipes", "healthy vegetarian Japanese recipes", "healthy vegetarian Thai…
  • That is one of my many addictions I need to overcome to become a healthier me - I hope it lasts for you - you can be an inspiration to all us diet pop junkies!
  • 5'1 here too - add me :)
  • Dr. McDougall's site has some good information about the health of vegan diets too - it might be something worth checking out for vegan-wannabes like me
  • Count me in too! I've been lacto-ovo vegetarian for about 12 years. I would love to be vegan but I'm finding the transition more difficult than I expected. To a few of the previous posts: The people that have posted they are "almost vegetarian". My husband used to eat that basic diet and although he hates labels, that is…
  • Start your diet after your baby is born! Eat healthy - plenty of fruits & veggies, take your multivitamin, go for long walks & then start counting calories when the baby is born.
  • I've made up a date when people have asked me when I'm "due". I figure that's more polite than saying, "I'm not pregnant, I'm just fat you stupid, insensitive *kitten*." :explode:
  • Veggie kabobs sound good right now - peppers (all colors), onions, pineapple, cherry tomatoes - throw some Lawry's seasoning on them if you like salty - cook them on the grill until they burn a little - yummy & sweet!
  • Mushrooms (why are they on my veggie sub - they aren't a veggie - they're a fungus), reality TV, leather (anything - purses, carseats, etc - hello - it's skin!?!)!!!
  • Interesting link! Thanks for sharing!
  • I agree (I've been veg for about 12 years or so)! I love the Quorn products (though I wish they were vegan)! I also love the morning star corn dogs - that is one of the few things I can get my 6-year-old to eat :) Sure, they aren't perfect but there are a lot of worse things you could be eating! :)
  • I'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian. I have been my entire adult life. Most of my meals are vegan but I can't call myself vegan yet (I love Quorn products & they have egg whites in them). Feel free to friend me! I'd love to share ideas & low cal veggie recipes!
  • My daughter & I like Just Dance 2. It doesn't use the balance board but it's something that fun - I think laughing at yourself while burning calories is a great bonus :)
  • Feel free to add me - you can never have too many friends/strangers
  • I'm currently addicted to garbanzo beans. They are good to use to replace mean in recipes. (example: mash them up & you them to replace tuna in any tuna recipe). I like to mash them up & add different spices depending what I'm in the mood for & then throw it into a whole wheat wrap. I've been veg for 12+ years and on a…
  • Wow, I think maybe I'm an alcoholic. Here is the dilemma then: stop drinking the wine & lose the weight or go COMPLETELY INSANE......hmmmm... :drinker:
  • I've never heard of sunshine burgers, what stores can they be found in? I really like the morning crumbles - I use them to replace ground beef in recipes - my dad (who is the biggest carnivore you'll ever meet) even likes them. If he is having my family over for chili or tacos or whatever, he'll use these & everyone loves…
  • I'd love to join your operation  This is my first MFP challenge too! • Just Dance 2 - it doesn't track your calories or anything but it's fun & I can tell it burns calories since it makes my heart beat so fast & it's something I can do with my kiddos
  • People are just confused by what vegetarian means, they certainly don't mean to offend you (although it is very annoying), it's just ignorance and it gives you a great opportunity to educate them. I don't think "logic" has anything to do with it. It is hard to lump anyone into one category, as it is such a broad spectrum.…
  • This is a topic that frustrates me to no end. My daughter is in kindergarten too and she actually WANTS to eat healthy. She wants seconds on the vegetable but they say she has to eat all the main course first (even if that means junk fried foods like chicken nuggets or little weanies) - I'd much rather she avoids the junk…
