Hi Everyone! I would love to be a part of this group. I am looking for additional support. I have been on this journey for my entire adult life. and have gained and lost 20+ lbs at various times. This time I am at my highest weight ever and want to make a permanent change. 5'8", SW 209, CW 206, GW: 160lbs.

YES! Definitely! Awesome work!

I agree with this and also suggest increasing your calories (someone else suggested setting MFP to 1 lb/week - good idea). You don't want to eat so little that your body goes into starvation mode. I have had several plateaus in the past and got over them in a few ways: 1. by adding 300-400 cals per day for 3 days, and then…

Pre-workout: banana Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with Boursin herb & garlic soft cheese. (SO GOOD btw - it makes the eggs taste like you're having them at a fantastic brunch restaurant), mini bagel, smart balance. Lunch: Homemade lentil soup, raisin bread, smart balance. Dinner: Salmon cooked in parchment paper with garlic,…

Hi - I am 40. I have been on this journey for my entire adult life (basically gaining and losing 20-30 lbs every few years). Hoping to make it stick this time around!
-
Excited to watch your journey. I weigh in on Wednesdays so will start this tomorrow!
-
actually I think you must have a setting where others cannot friend you. You can friend me if you want though, and also may want to look for that setting and change it.
-
Thank you for sharing and welcome. I am starting over (again, again, again, again...there have been way too many "agains"!) I will add you as a friend.
-
Thanks for your video! i'm in Philly too (suburbs)...trying to stay warm. Your beef stew sounds amazing! I am adding you as a friend!
-
Thanks! I'll have to look for that!
-
Thanks! I don't have that size spoon but it may be good to get!

I will be 40 in 1 1/2 years. I know it is a long way off but I have 30+ lbs to lose and I want to meet goal by 40. I know weight comes off very slowly for me so this seems reasonable. Glad to have more friends if anyone wants to add.

i'm on a weight loss journey and lifting/strength training at home. glad for more friends!

I have 40 total to lose! down 9 so far. started 197, want to be 157-ish.

Hi mardelle! Let's be friends! Great job on the progress. This is my third attempt at losing & keeping it off. A few years ago i lost about 25lbs (of my 40lb goal) but have gained it all back. I definitely need the support of my mfp friends!!!

Wow, Amazing work! Congratulations on your success!!!!

Ha, in my case I consider boob-shrinkage to be a good thing. I envy you, however, buying bras is annoyingly expensive. Best of luck, and great job on the weight loss!
-
I am a 36DDD, and I found these "shock absorber" brand bras on www.herroom.com. I have the one listed as D+, and it is amazing. I would bet any of the smaller ones do a good job too. Of course, you do have to know your size to order online. I believe they have a measurement guide too. I simply took my measurements,…

I think tea can be counted as water. Also Crystal Light or the like, but you also have to be sure to count the calories from it into your day.
-
definitely can see a difference - you have so much more mucle tone now - arms, abs, everything! great job!
-
Thank you!!! Because, yeah, my skeleton is exactly the same size as Shaq's...
-
WOWWWWW You look amazing!!! Keep up the great work!

Being under my calorie goal today. It has been almost 2 1/2 weeks since I have logged (vacation followed by work travel, followed by not feeling like bothering over the long weekend). I am glad to be back and doing my body good.
-
^^^^^ Agree!!! You look awesome!!!
-
Read all these comments that people are making to this post! You CAN eat real food and still lose weight. It's all about moderation, measuring and moving more!
-
You totally do not have to eat weird shakes or fat free processed crap to lose weight. I eat bread (even white bread--ciabata=yum!), pasta, steak, sausage, as well as of course fruits, veggies, dairy, etc! even sweets sometimes (although usually go w/the ones that are low cal like, like skinny cow ice creams). Anyways, it…

Wow, you look amazing!!!! Great job!!!

Welcome! You will do great. I love MFP and it is truly becoming part of my lifestyle. A huge part of my success (so far anyways) is having a great network of active friends on the site. Good luck with your journey! Feel free to add me if you would like!
-
I agree with the above. Don't forget to make your food choices healthy ones! Fruits, veggies, lean meats, legumes whole grains!! Be careful of eating too little. When I first started MFP had me at 1200 cals a day (for 2 lbs/week loss), but I wasn't losing at that level...apparently going into survival mode and not eating…

typing, obviously. Also I was just recording my breakfast and about to go on pinterest for some heatlhy recipes! Later - preparing for a BBQ with friends - have my whole day of healthy foods planned out!
