You can add me, I'm an American living in the UK.

completly agree, this is a life style change not a diet. I plan to live the rest of my life and not let how i am eating now rule over my life. I'm going on holiday and the calorie counting is staying home!

thanks I was wondering how to do that! hadn't considered the deficit and surplus

Yes there is Norfolk US named for the Norfolk UK. I've actually lived near both! All the cities in that area of the US area named for places like Suffolk, Norfolk, York, etc. You can add me I'm not far from you! We were actually up in Norwich last weekend.

Oh please don't lose motivation. I really want to help and was not trying to over whelm you. Our bodies have a natural range that our weight falls in. We use height charts to gage these things. Based on our height and body frame we should fall into a certain range--for 5'4 the recommandations are generally around 114-151.…

Well then I would think based on your height and current weight that these are ok goals. My only suggestion is that I am assuming you are only trying to lose a few pounds that since you are already at your bodies low weight end it will be very hard to lose a lot of weight really fast. I would say set your goals for 0.5lbs…

There have been times at the end of really intense work outs where I just want to cry (but I am a very easy crier). I think it is in part due to all the hormones you are realsing, not just from the current work out, but also that might be stored in those fat cells your body is using for fuel. I say go on and cry woman!…

You seem a little on the smaller side and it seems more that you are intrested in toneing more than anything else. I would say search the threads about women lifing heavy. These are some very foxy looking ladies with nice tummies. Check it out and maybe talk to one of them.
-
have you tried doing heavy weight lifting or even weight machines at the gym? this would help tone while you are losing to maybe help bring things in a little bit and help maybe prevent loose skin issues. (not an expert, just a thought)

that is so great! keep it up and you'll defenitly get to your goal :flowerforyou:

Wow! That is so great and you are looking good! I am similar height and build and nice to see that someone has done it nice and slow (the way I am trying) and had amazing results with no lose skin, etc. Keep it up and I know you will get there!, :flowerforyou:

To quote the little red head from talledga nights "I don't know what it means but I love it!" Great find!

My advice would be to start higher try to get more towards the 1400 that way when your body stalls you have some where to go. If you start at the lowest of the low you have nothing to take out if you hit the dreaded plateau

I have sleeping issues, especially with trouble waking and not feeling rested. I have an iPhone and found an alarm app that allows you to put the phone on your bed to sense your movement while sleeping and you set the alarm to wake you within a window. That has helped with not feeling so tired through the day. It's called…

If you are interested I would say look into an app called ease into 5k also known as c25k. It is a great beginner run app. It is a paid app but I do think there may be free ones out there . In just 4 weeks I have gone from barely able to run for 30 seconds to running for 6 minutes and in just 5 more weeks I should be able…

I would say yes because I believ jogging starts at 4-4.5 if I remember correctly.

Lots of veggies like raw carrots or celery. Even a baked patatoe can be filling with low calories. Look for things with high fiber like apples which can be very filling. And lots of lean protiens. I am not at as low calories as you but these should help :-) good luck and hang in there?

Amazing! Can't wait to try

I am currently starting week four tomorrow (ekk! how will i run for 6 straight minutes?) I love it, it really is great. I use it on the iPhone and also run treadmill due to the coldness and asthma not mixing. But I also have the GPS add on and I have used that feature and look forward to using it again in warmer weather.…
