  • damn y'all! I got 1. Yes ONE. I had never even tried the 14lb ball and only got one up high enough that hit the wall. Got a few more up, but no repped because they didn't hit the wall.
  • YES! I'm new so even a lot of our regular WOD's at RX I can't do but these games weights for women are kind of high IMO when compared to the men's.
  • AMEN! I think Annie's judge needed his head examined (I'm thinking that is one of the ones you are referring to?). I haven't seen many you tube ones but was watching Annie and Lindsey earlier.
  • Big fat zero here too but you know what - I got a PR as well! Way to go! I got a 55lb PR for the OH, but did the WOD at 45lbs, because I could barely get that 55 up. I worked the WOD with 2 bars and did the rest at RX. Didn't jump the box - but neither did anyone else. My final score officially for the games is zero, but…
  • Thanks for the encouragement guys! I'm definitely going to go and push myself! Good luck to all attempting it!
  • I'm feeling so discouraged after seeing it. I can't do 75lb shoulder to OH - the most I can hang clean so far as been about 50lbs. Box jump too - I can do 16" but haven't even attempted to do 20. Our box is running the WOD tonight - I'm not sure what to do now. My last 2 WOD's have been very discouraging.
  • I've been crossfitting for 3 months and signed up for the open. I got a score of 40 for 13.1. I couldn't do the 45lb snatch, but during the WOD I did PR at about 10reps of 30lbs snatches. I got really close to getting the 45 up but just couldn't get under it. I think it was more mental and mobility related than anything.…
  • yea -figuring out how to pace yourself is hard! It sounds like you tend to be light on yourself so maybe just go a little harder each time. There have been SO many WOD's that I have not thought I'd make it through but somehow do - those usually end up being the ones I like the most. ;)
  • I had one of those last night - just super light weights and it was super hard. It takes time to get stronger - just keep at it - everyone was there at some point! Some of these are Olympic lifts - it takes time to learn them and build flexibility!
  • This has been a great thread for me! I've been going for about a month 2-3 days/week and I can tell I'm stronger already. I still have a long way to go, but seeing the gains I'm making has been really motivating!
  • shutupandlift you hit is dead on - I'm looking for the less squish results. Great answers - thank you!!
  • I try to get there early so I can really warm up. Sometimes I'll stay to work on something after if I have time and feel a need, but not on a regular basis.
  • our box is doing the WOD's every Thursday anyway so you really have nothing to lose if you sign up. I'm still not sure if I will though.....
  • A protein shake after would make a great breakfast IMO. Are you okay working out without eating anything? If not a banana or toast with peanut butter is usually light enough for me.
  • I just came across this - looks intriguing! http://www.mobilitywod.com/about
  • I just ordered it - I like her so much more than JM from the turbofire but I need to lift - hopefully this is just what I needed! :)
  • finally got to it last night - was going to finish with a turbofire HIIT after - yea - not so much. holy hell that was hard!
  • fantastic work!!
  • thanks guys? How did it go? I ended up just running last night - we had a strange non humid evening and decided to take advantage of that instead. It's on tonight though. :)
  • 100% Gold Standard Optimum Whey French Vanilla is my favorite. I also love the EAS low card RTD shakes!
  • This is a GREAT question! I do the same thing a few times a week and didn't even think about the possibility it could mess up my metabolism!

  • I didn't get to it over the weekend - planning on doing week 2 one last time today then on to week 3 on Wed! eek!
  • seriously! I've been so sore but I love it! I swear after just 4 times I can already tell a difference. I'm going to try and do it more often if I can! Beach is in 3 weeks and I want to look good (or at least better). ;)
  • I'm doing ripped in 30 but only 3-4 times a week along with some running and HIIT workouts from turbofire. Did you all do it daily?
  • I'm 5'2" and 132 - feel free to friend me! I've lost 8 lbs in the past couple months and would like to tone up more!
  • yes! 2 c-sections later I hate my lower belly! :(
  • Fell free to add me! I'm 133 and looking to get into the mid 120s
  • I love the moving comfort ones and am a 34DD. Have you been fitted recently? Are you sure you are looking at the right sizes?
  • If a woman won't date you because of that, she isn't someone you need to be dating.
  • that is GREAT progress for 8 weeks!!
