Yes every morning and every night. Usually a 1.5 -2 pound fluctuation between the two. I have also logged a solid 3lbd gain before my period.... might be obsessive but who cares.

OMG thank you for this post.. I thought it was all in my head. Why does this happen?

I am 46 and I had RNY surgery on 3/7/2012 and I started at 253.5 today I am 190 and feeling great. It is not an easy journey but I think one that has been worth it for me. I have had a relatively easy time. A few times I have gotten sick from food not agreeing with me. But otherwise if I follow the doctor and the…

YOU ARE A SEXY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. Your ink is slamming. Thank you for serving.

I would rather be elegant and full of grace. I try to make sure others are comfortable and I never try and behave in an undignified manner. Calling someone out and downing who they are lacks style, grace and dignity. I am sure you meant well but perhaps you should not comment if you do not like.

MaryJane, Although I respect your opinion to not get or like tattoo's. Others do like them and are proud of them. I didn't get my first until I was in my 30's, had three kids and a good career. It is a way to express myself. Often when people have them removed they were never happy with them. often they are a result of…

Of course they wanted an excuse... but gives others excuse to show of their ink too.

JF I ran into someone I hadn't seen in over a year. She was amazed at my weight loss. When she asked I told her about the bypass. She said, "ohhhhh you took the easy way out". I thought EASY???? are you kidding.... This is hard work plain and simple. The surgery helps and limits intake. But what I put in my mouth is my…

Well here in San Diego the weather is perfect. But I am stuck slaving in front of a computer. Daydreaming of laying in the sun. take a long walk around the neighborhood.

OMG how cute are you!

I sent you the mashed Cauliflower recipe but decided to post it here in case anyone else wanted. Mashed cauliflower tastes similar to mashed potatoes but with fewer carbs. Top with chopped herbs and grated cheese if you like. Ingredients 1 medium head cauliflower, trimmed and cut into small florets (about 6 to 7 cups) 1 to…

I had asked someone if frozen yogurt was ok about 6 weeks after my surgery. He said something that really stuck with me. "Yes you can eat it... but you just went through a drastic surgery for your health and weight goals... why have empty calories? " So I am going to tough love on you. YES you can eat potatoes, ice cream…

I very much appreciate the original post of this questions. Sex is a healthy part of a relationship and a normal human experience. My issue is that I am single. I never went without dates but I had no confidence and little enthusiasm. Now I am down 55 lbs. I still have 45-50 to go to get to my goal. I look better than I…

So true on the Penis looking better. I heard that for every lb you lose it is like adding an inch in length!

You know what is great about this site.... it's friendly to everyone and anyone who is interested in living healthier and who wants to support each other. Just enjoy the journey.

Yes they sell clothes on Ebay and Craigslist. I also found out that you have better luck selling clothes by the lot... so put some pieces together. LIke 5 shirts and set the price accordingly. I have been going to resale shops for new clothes. Since I don't know how long I will be in a size I don't want to spend too much…

Once I went on a first date with a guy..... within 15 minutes he told me he couldn't wait to climb my mountains (boobs) he just creeped me out. So I excused myself to go to the restroom... and I slipped out. He left me a message telling me off... and then had the nerve to tell me I owed him 6.50 for the drink and to send…

My choice is egg beaters with some veggies every morning (1/2 cup egg beaters is about 50 cals just add veggies). I am working with a nutritionist and it is the way to go. The protein stays with me longer, makes me feel satisfied and I am dropping the lbs. I say egg it up!

Mine lasted about 10 days... I thought maybe they didn't do the surgery correctly. I laugh when I look back at my original post. I am now 3 months post op and down 50lbs... I have come to expect stalls and just try and breath through them. I am actually on a stall now the loss has slowed down... too slow. But we have to be…

Good for you for taking control of your life. Too many of us don't make the hard decisions. Well done.

Love the weight I have lost but I miss my boobs. I have started saving for implants.

I understand the struggle...it is a big decision to make and you have to be ready to make big changes. I had bypass on March 7th 2012 and started at 253.5, I have lost 45 lbs so far (10 weeks) and feel wonderful. I follow a high protein diet guided by my nutritionist. I have to tell you... It was the best thing I ever did…

Sometimes... posting and others adding comments.. Keeps me from feeling alone. Like I was the only one who ever stalled. Every time I start stressing because the scale isn't moving. Convinced that I am horribly failing... a little weight drops. I just have to keep faith.

This was all good advice. I look back at this post and laugh. I will be 9 weeks post op tomorrow and realzie now that sometimes my body (liver) needs time to catch up to the weight loss. You just have to stick to healthy eatting, portion size seems to no issue because I just can't eat anymore and move! I feel greedy now…

Congrats!!! My experience has been that this is "no easy way out". It still takes work, dedication and discipline. The surgery is just a jump start tool. Keep focused and keep healthy. C

Wow the once a week weigh in is a good idea. I am 6 weeks post Bypass today and I seem to weigh myself a few times a day. I log on MFP when I weigh the same 3 days in a row. But I am going to try the once a week thing to see what happens. I might have to have one of the kids hid my scale the rest of the week. Happy losing…

I had a hard time with the sweetness of what was allowed. I am not a big sweet fan. I only had to do the liquid diet 5 days presurgery but then after surgery for about 10 days. Tomatoe soup was a friend to me.. it broke up the sweet protien shakes and I hated the broth. Hang in there .... mind over matter. I am 6 weeks…

I swear by Crystal light pop-cycles that I make at home. One pages of the 5 cal Crystal light and water nets me about 6 pop cycles. Cold and sweet and less than 1 calorie each!!!!
