Very classy response to a not so friendly post earlier!! :-) Thanks for taking the time to post your Q and A. You have motivated me to get back at it and not be so all or nothing when it comes to my healthier choices. :) I tend to feel like I meased it all up when I go over a tad eating pizza with my kids and it throws me…

Thank you all so much for taking time to reply. You all make really good suggestions. I think I will be take a few steps back and slow it down a little. I may have to read these comments a few more times along the way. ;) I am super motivated to get it right! You can watch for me in the success category in the near…

Thank you guys. I stretch before. I will try the new stretches and see how that works. I have heard several times that shoes are key so I we have to find a shoe store. I have never been one to spend more then about 50 bucks on sneakers but in this case it sounds like it will be worth it. The discomfort never lasts into the…

I think it is wonderful to be encouraging. However at 11 it isn't his responsibility to have to log food he eats. He should be playing and enjoying his childhood. You can help him to be physically active with you and have fun. Serve him healthy options and teach him how to eat healthy. If you start him calorie counting now…

A fatty ribeye steak with A1 sauce, a twice baked potato loaded with sour cream, butter, cheese, and real bacon pieces, a salad with home made hidden valley ranch dressing, tomatoes, cheese, olives, and real bacon pieces, and a tall glass of milk. For dessert I will have a pack or Oreos and another glass of milk. Mmm mmm…

Thanks guys!! I can see this is going to be a challenge. Not only cutting back but avoiding unexpected temptations. My husband brought home a Starbucks for me. A mocha frappe!!! I poured it out but it was super hard. :)

How did you cut it out? Slowly or all at once?

Thanks Dawn!! I was thinking about using stevia in my Greek yogurts. I thought that would be better then the added sugar in the flavored varieties. I have tried cold turkey and have not had success. It's crazy because I didn't even eat sweets much until getting pregnant with my son. He's two and I haven't stopped eating…

Thanks for the reply. Did you quit cold turkey? Or did you slowly cut it out?

I am at home with my kids most days so I found that if I put a bottle of water in the bathroom, laundry room, etc and I drink from it every time I go into that room, I usually get 4-6 glasses that way with little effort. Then i try to drink a glass or two with meals. Also crystal light has a new flavored packet with no…
