  • http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/521728-upping-cals-what-to-expect-why-you-need-patience Look at that sticky and read the first post. Have you checked out EM2WL site as well? Lots of answers to those questions there: http://eatmore2weighless.com/
  • Are you taking any prescription sedatives? I had this happen with ambien--woke up to the sound of the cat licking from the bowl of oatmeal (apparently made with protein and all weighed out, scale was out, microwave was wide open, oats and protein on the counter too) that was sitting on my chest when I passed out. I have no…
  • Thank you for giving me back control of my life. I no longer obsess quite as much, I don't berate myself if I don't adhere to a rigid plan, and I'm just in a far better head space most of the time. Thank you, thank you, thank you! That doesn't even begin to cover my gratitude. Really. From the bottom of my heart.…
  • Have you calculated your TDEE? You probably need more calories.
  • OMG I know!!!! I referred 3 friends who bought from her, so I get free shipping on my next box of 24, but I don't want to have them anywhere near me right now, LOL!
  • Mmmm cake. I must be super hormonal, this is making me huuuuungry.
  • Oatmeal carob chip Oatmeal carob almond coconut (crack!) Butterscotch (I don't even LIKE butterscotch that much, but I like these!) Double choco carob chip Those are definitely my top 4.
  • She said that they can be frozen too. I ordered a box of 24!
  • Can you do protein shakes? That can bump your protein up enormously. Also, you can eat larger portions of meat with your meals (assuming you're not a vegetarian). Greek yogurt, cottage cheese are also protein bonanzas (not the full fat greek yogurt, but 2% and 0% are very protein heavy). Nuts and nut butters can help too,…
  • I'm at TDEE -10%, so 2175. If I exercise my way below my BMR, I'll make up the calories. That rarely happens, because I only subtract the exercise that I use my HRM for--my long walks are almost never factored in.
  • @KWNurse: that's an excellent suggestion, thanks! I just made an excel spreadsheet for October to track how I'm doing on macros and planned calories (eating at 10% cut at 2178). Looks like I need to eat more nut butters, because my fat target is 108g a day! I think I *try* to hit close to my target, but there have been a…
  • You've got this Michelle! Life happens... just pick yourself up, dust off, and press on, girl. :)
  • At least moderate. Far from sedentary. Why did you think you should be at a sedentary level? Have you looked at Scooby's site? It gives a good breakdown of activity levels based on varying levels of activity.
  • You might retain more water, but the weight of that extra food as it transits your GI tract is also gonna make the scale read higher as well.
  • Yep, that's on my to buy list as well! Looks really fun.
  • I would stir it into the oatmeal after you cook it. A lot of protein powders get gummy in the microwave. Blecch. I also make protein pancakes (and waffles yummmmmm). Are you vegan/vegetarian, or are you open to trying whey and/or casein protein powders? Casein generally thickens things up quite a bit, so I love to use that…
  • I also sent you a FR. I eat a lot of protein from various sources, also a fairly high level of carbohydrates. Check out my journal to see. I started EM2WL around the beginning of the month, so the last 3 weeks are representative of that.
  • LOL. I just re-read the hobbit a couple of weeks ago. I love second breakfasts! I hear you on the scale. I was traveling this week and I am up 3 lbs from when I left. Oh well. Fluid shifts happen. And your bloat WILL subside. Keep pushing H2O, it definitely helps me, anyway.
  • 147.4 this morning. I might need to eat more if this keeps up. I can't believe I'm saying that.
  • Love you, Wendy. Glad you joined this group too! This morning, with full on tom bloat, I was at 147.8. That's pretty damned impressive after eating fuddrucker's for dinner last night. Eating out used to blow me up for a couple of days, minimum. It seems like my body is becoming more able to handle fluxes in what's coming…
  • You only need to activate the BT when you want to sync it (and I believe that you have to press a button on the BMF for that to happen).
  • Paxil can definitely contribute to weight gain. All of the SSRIs can, even zoloft (sertraline) although it was originally marketed as weight neutral. They are better than the old MAO inhibitors with respect to the scale, but still... weight gain with these as well. I don't know if you've heard of a book called the diet…
  • Also a little more unsweetened cocoa powder with the banana +/- peanut butter. I'm liking greenberry more now, have you tried anything other than chocolate flavor?
  • Another member mentioned the concept and the group in my newsfeed and I was intrigued, so I lurked and read and here I am. Happier.
  • It sounds like Chalean Extreme would be a good program for you. It's all on DVDs, exercises are explained, and the weightlifting portion is only 3 days/week. There is a link on the eatmore2weighless website.
  • Just a quick update.... I'm eating AROUND 2020 calories a day, the world is not crashing down around me, I feel pretty good. The scale is up slightly, but TOM starts next week, so I don't necessarily attribute it to this. I've been 150.6/150.4/150.2/150.4 over the last 4 days, so not much fluctuation. I am hoping for a…
  • You. Look. AMAZING. Thank you so much for posting. This is the stuff I need to see and hear repeatedly!
  • Lucia, thanks for the encouragement! I have my final PT test in the Air Force next Thursday. I will go scale free for the rest of the month after that. I ate 2050 calories yesterday and felt reasonably good this morning other than being awake at 245 AM grrrrrrr. I think I'll just take pics weekly and measure monthly and…
  • Thanks kendrafallon. I'm going to unlink it too. I had an adjustment of 310 this morning post insanity which made sense; I checked at work and suddenly it was 610!
