32, born and raised in Africa all my life. Went to uni in New York, have lived all over the world, and traveled to 26 states. Currently call TN "Home" but you will not hear me refer to myself as a "red neck" lol...I have a hubby of 8 years (Still madly in love with), 4 kids (6,4.5, almost 3, 18 mo) and I'm hoping to lose…

As a SAHM of 4 (ages 5 and under), I completely understand! My problem is portion control and not exercising. I can make excuse after excuse, but it comes down to "I really don't want to". Do I want to be healthy? Yes. Do I act like it? No. My suggestion is to start out small with lifestyle changes. Prep your food to save…

This. Neither my husband nor I watch it. And yes, I know he doesn't because we have the kind of open relationship. I think it's great that neither one of us have to be tempted by someone other than each other. That doesn't mean that we don't see people whom we think are attractive, but we respect each other and the…

I met my husband in a chatroom (I was back home and he was here in the US) and we talked for about 6 months before we met (I had come to the US in the meant time for varsity). That was 9.5 years ago. We have been married almost 7 years. It can work, but you do need to be careful and don't give out too much personal…

This is what I usually do. Or I add them to salads for some extra protein. Or you can make hummus. Very simple to make and very good for you.

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy! That is absolutely wonderful! I've only been logging in and not doing much else on MFP the last 9 months so I must have missed this wonderful news :) I think that as long as you are eating the right foods, are feeling full, and you and baby are gaining the proper weight and…

Welcome to MFP! It sounds like you are making some great lifestyle choices and that is great! I wouldn't get discouraged about not losing weight immediately. The fact that your clothes are getting loose means that you are losing inches. Try measuring yourself and it will be nice to see the changes to your body over the…

If you are still hungry, than have a piece of wholewheat toast with reduced fat peanut butter. That way you get some protein and whole grains, but don't over-do your calories. Make sure to measure out the peanut butter though. If you aren't hungry, than don't eat just to eat.

it's good in moderation. as long as you aren't eating a whole watermelon than you are fine. enjoy the healthy snack it is!

No, I don't agree with it. Like the OP said, there are things you cannot change about youself, but *most of the time* weight is something that something can be done about. People need to stop making excuses, get off their bottoms, and start living a healthy lifestyle. Period.

This! My husband does the same thing with our almost 18 month old daughter and even though she doesn't quite understand, I love it! I take our almost 3 year old son out on dates and we both love the one on one time! Glad to hear of other daddys out there doing such a great job!!!! Keep it up!

I get up every hour and go to the bathroom for 3 minutes to do jumping jacks or running in place. Doing that for 8 hours will help you work out for 24 minutes. I also make sure I park futher away from my building to get more steps in. Every time the phone rings I stand up and talk. I go and ask my co-worker if I have a…
