I quit
Today, I asked to be moved out of the regular group of a weight loss challenge I have been in for months. The reason I quit is simple. I find I lose weight easier when I'm not dressing about the scale. Both times I've been hugely successful was when I quit weighing regularly. I packed up my scale and put it away. In time,…

Look bigger despite weight loss
I was stuck on a plateau for 4 weeks, now I’m starting to lose weight again, but I look bigger then I did at a higher weight 4 weeks ago. I work as a quality inspector in an automotive factory, so I’m running my *kitten* off all day. For 8 hours I’m on my feet, bending, lifting and running around both warehouse and…

Shans OMAD journal
Day 1: So truthfully, I have been doing this a while. I just found this group. Today has been a good day. I started the c25k program (couch to run 5k). I enjoyed it. It was challenging, invigorating and empowering! I'm hoping it will help with my weight loss. My fiancé said to me this weekend that I would need to be a…

Bathroom schedule
I'm 5'7, cw: 273 from sw of 363. I eat between 1200-1500 calories/day. I circuit train at the gym 3X / week, walk approx 12-15k steps daily. On the weekends I exercise less and eat a bit more like around 1700-1800 cals. What my question is, why am I only having bowel movements only every 3 days? I try to eat balanced with…

Activity level accuracy
I don't know what setting I should use for activity level. I currently have it at lightly active. I circuit train at the gym 3X a week and average 10-15K steps daily. However on weekends I just do day to day stuff and average 5-7K steps. Thoughts?

Toning
I recently started going to the gym. After loosing 87lbs, I am starting to feel loose skin developing. So now that I'm a little over halfway to goal, with about 70-80lbs left to loose, I wanted to incorporate toning exercises in. I know you can't exercise loose skin away, but I am hoping to reduce it by circuit training.…

What brought you to OMAD?
For me, it was by accident. I was working overnights, going to school full time days and raising 3 kids on my own. I only ever had time for one meal a day. Yet, I found I was energized enough to do what needed doing and I wasn't hungry. Plus the bonus, I lost a lot of weight. I went back to eating 3 meals and watched my…

Halfway to goal w/pics
Weight loss always seemed impossible to me. I had resigned myself to being morbidly obese my whole life. I'm now halfway to goal with 65lbs left to lose.

BMI calculations
How much emphasis should I place on a BMI calculator? It's seems preposterous to me what it expects me to achieve!

Scale Stalled!
I try not to worry about the numbers. Yet, I'm OCD so the numbers drive me crazy. I have been doing great exercise and eating wise. Absolutely no doubt to being at least 1000cals deficit daily. The scale won't budge, I keep telling myself it will catch up, but I'm going nuts!! I need reassurance! Oh and you should know I…

New!
Hello, I'm new to the group. I'm so happy to find you all because the OMAD is not so popular with many! I'm 35 years old. 5'7 SW: 363 CW: 287 GW: 190 I love the one meal a day because it takes the stress out of eating. I find I can create a calorie deficit easier this way and it keeps me from over eating. If I'm…

Tricks for eating out
My fiancé and I eat out at least once a week. What's your tricks for eating out without going atrociously over your calories?
-
Exercise calories out vs calories in
Does anyone have any issues with shaking or weakness? My calories in are about 1500/day and my calories exercised out are about 800-1000/day. Could that be why?

Mfp set calories too much?
Mfp set my calorie goal per day to 1800 in order to lose 2lbs per week. I find that it's too much, that I won't lose weight set at that amount. I try to be as accurate in my recordings as possible and just in case, I try to eat under my calorie goal by 200 cals daily. On the exercise front, I do at least an hour of…

Tension band exercise
What's everyone's thoughts on toning and gaining muscle mass by using tension bands? I don't have weights so I follow a YouTube routine with tension bands.

Once you lose the weight....
The why is as important in this journey as the work itself. So what are you looking forward to once you lose the weight? For me, I want to; 1. Be able to look down and actually see my lady parts. 2. Be able to buy clothes and cute bra and panty sets and look good in all of it. 3. Feel better about myself and enjoy my…
