Any way to make protein powder less sweet? (Nitro tech double chocolate)
Wondering if anyone has a recommendation on how to make protein powder less sweet that isn't 'just watering it down more'. I also don't like bananas, so that option is out. I bought a 2 lb size of Nitro Tech whey double chocolate and it is just way too sweet for me. I don't want to throw it out, and am trying to salvage…

Has anyone missed one dose of Levothyroxine and had vertigo?
I am on 112 of levo and that has really helped me. I think I forgot my dose this morning for the first time ever, and by 2-3PM I was having major vertigo and dizziness. From what I have read, I don't know if this is because I missed my dose, or if something else is going on. Does anyone have any experience with missed…

Salvaging a cut up unripe pineapple?
Does anyone know a way to make cut up unripe pineapple sweeter without adding sugar? I know that I can use it in dishes and caramelize it in the oven or something (e..g, skewers, etc), but I was hoping to eat it raw. Is there any way that I can do this or do I simply give up on the idea of eating fresh pineapple?

Time Zone Question and Impact on MFP stats
All, I am traveling from the East Coast to Europe (Switzerland and France) where I will stay for a few weeks, and am anxious about the time zone change and how that is going to impact my stats on MFP. Does anyone have any experience with this? I've worked very hard to track everything I eat and the amount of exercise I…

New ideas for pork loin?
Okay, I made a random decision to buy one of Costcos giant pork loins. Note that I am single and this thing is huge and taking up too much space in my freezer. Also note that, not really thinking too much, I cut the thing into 1.5 inch pork loin chops (not the brightest move I know). Other than pan frying or grilling the…

Sun Tea - On counter or Refrigerator?
I want some feedback on what everyone does with their tea in the summer if they make it. For example, I usually make a large dispenser of tea by brewing a few hours in the sun, then bringing it indoors. Since it is in a large dispenser, I usually don't have enough room for it in the refrigerator, so I just keep it on the…

Other than the ordinary - what to do with Refried beans
Was wondering if anyone had any recipes that use homemade refried beans. I had a serious craving for them and made a big batch in my instant pot. Now I have enough refried beans to last me 6 months! Short of ordinary Mexican dishes (i.e., tacos, quesadillas, nachos, dips, etc.) does anyone have any somewhat healthy recipes…

Quark in the Instant Pot?
Weird question, but has anyone tried making quark in the instant pot? I have never heard of this before, but found it used in a recipe. After digging around, it appears that instead of milk (like in yogurt), you use buttermilk instead. Does anyone know what it tastes like, what it is used for, and have you tried making it…

Anyone switch from Lexapro to Effexor for Premenopause Anxiety?
Okay, long story short: I am a stark raving lunatic when I ovulate--whenever that may be as even though I track my cycles, I have NO IDEA when they will be because I go 21 days to 90 days depending on how my body feels like dealing with this through this whole pre-menopause thing. A few years ago I started Lexapro as my…

Potatoes - Yay or Nay?
I see a lot of conflicting things about regular potatoes when it comes to Paleo. On one hand, the majority of Paleo says you should avoid them. On the other, I get a Paleo magazine (called Paleo), that includes recipes with regular potatoes, and I see several sites and posts from people that include them in recipes. I…

Dinner party at Home or Restaurant if you are a visitor
I would like to know some opinions on how people feel. Backstory: I live in the US. I have family coming in from Chicago as well as friends coming in from the Netherlands. We all know each other, and have spent a lot of time together at all of our houses with family in the past, as well as internationally (i.e., Paris,…

Push ups/Boxing with Carpel Tunnel in both hands
Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with pain in hands when doing pushups or boxing? I am trying to avoid surgery, and although wearing a brace at night helps with the pain and numbness overall, my hands still hurt pretty bad when doing push ups or when I am working heavy bag. I have to take my gloves off when boxing…

Whole Fish Fridge Time
How long can you keep a cleaned (scaled and gutted) whole fish (sans head) in the refrigerator before cooking it? I went to the fish market today, and was planning on making whole roasted striped bass for dinner, but I am not that hungry and would prefer to wait until tomorrow. Can I safely wait until tomorrow to cook it?…

Need some positive reinforcement - 6 months in
Hi all. I am really struggling right now, 6 months into my MFP journey and would like some positive reinforcement. Since June, I had lost about 50 pounds. Instant Pot Bone Broth Recipe (Chicken) Questions
I have a couple questions on making bone broth in the instant pot. This is in re to Chicken only, not beef. Do you have to roast the chicken bones before putting them in the instant pot? I know that roasting the beef bones brings out more flavor. Also, I have fresh chicken backs with skin, as well as chickens feet. Do I…

Dinner party without Paleo options -- or More like without *willpower*
Tonight I had the wonderful experience of having a birthday party thrown for me. In short, my friends had a dinner party for me, and one spent hours making a beautiful dinner of…

Random post, but does anyone have any experience with a dog who has a sensitive stomach & any reccommendations for a dry dog food? Soreness - Rest/Light Work Out/Other?
I've heard competing arguments on whether or not you should take a rest day if you are sore from an intense workout. Last night I resumed a…

Strange swollen hands after 5 miles - First time ever???
Today the strangest thing happened to me during my workout. This has never happened to me before, and was wondering if anyone had experience with this. Full disclosure, I have eaten a…

How to Recover the Day after a 'Too Hard' workout
Has anyone every done a workout and just nailed it (worked harder, gone further), and felt like complete poo the following day.
