Push ups/Boxing with Carpel Tunnel in both hands

Does anyone have any tips on how to deal with pain in hands when doing pushups or boxing?
I am trying to avoid surgery, and although wearing a brace at night helps with the pain and numbness overall, my hands still hurt pretty bad when doing push ups or when I am working heavy bag. I have to take my gloves off when boxing numerous times to stretch out my hand and push ups are a real pain as well.

Use hexagonal dumbbells for the push-ups, or something else that can give you a straight wrist grip.
No idea about boxing.
