Whole Fish Fridge Time

How long can you keep a cleaned (scaled and gutted) whole fish (sans head) in the refrigerator before cooking it? I went to the fish market today, and was planning on making whole roasted striped bass for dinner, but I am not that hungry and would prefer to wait until tomorrow.

Can I safely wait until tomorrow to cook it? I know this may seem like a dumb question, but I don't cook a lot of fish. One of my goals is trying to cook it more at home, but I am clueless on fridge times when it comes from a fish monger.

Also, being that I was excited at the market and have never actually bought raw whole fish, I bought a few porgies (?). These are cleaned and whole (head off) and I was planning on making them tomorrow. As I am moving my bass to tomorrow, can I freeze them?

I am so clueless with fresh fish it is ridiculous!!!!

Thanks everyone.
