Does anyone have experience training after carpal tunnel surgery. How long before you can jog/run after surgery, and any experiences on how to bounce back quicker to get back into lifting at least a little?

    What has your doctor said?

My doctor said that after surgery I can do what is comfortable for me (no pushups obviously). This is subjective, so I was hoping that someone had personal experiences, especially in the context of running. Nothing more than that.

Just as a nicety, it would be nice if people wouldn't treat posters like they are idiots. Please feel free to woo away on that comment. I know everyone wants to say this sometimes but doesn't.

I had both wrists done a month apart a few years ago. I'm not a runner and I wasn't going to the gym then, but I got back to my normal routine within a week or two. I think you just have to see how you feel and not push it if something doesn't feel right (assuming your doctor gave you the ok). I would say trying running when you're ready and if it's too jarring, walk instead.

Maybe post all of the relevant info in your OP to get more useful feedback?

I'm sorry you felt like an idiot. I've read a "few" posts on here the last 4 years, very similar to yours, and it's mind boggling the basic info people don't understand or want to "overturn" like advice from their doctor about how to heal and recover. Everyday there are posts from people looking for advice on one-up their doctors and it does get tiring. I know only what someone actually says in their post, not what they know and didn't share. I apologize for answering the question you posted.
Also please be aware that when you post on the internet you 'll get a wide range of responses so it's a good idea to be prepared to sort out the ones that interest you rather than getting upset towards people who didn't say what you wanted or respond to the question you intended but didn't state.
