Goals
My overall long-term goal is to lose 75 pounds and get to a healthy BMI for the first time in many years. My short-term mini goal is to get to 210 pounds. I currently weigh about 220 pounds. I have been overweight for far too long now. I want my good health back!!!

Exercise ~ Just do it!
Just finished walking on the treadmill for 40 minutes. I burned 285 calories! :D Feelin' good right now! I am glad I did it, which I need to remember the next time I resist hopping on that treadmill. Sometimes, I need to borrow the saying from Nike and "just do it!"

What food program or strategy are you following?
I finally had an appointment with an endocrinologist, who determined that I am INSULIN RESISTANT. It causes my body to hold onto weight, which causes weight gain, which makes me even more insulin resistant, etc. It is a snowball effect. Sorry I haven't posted a weigh-in for awhile. Not sure if anyone is still reading. I weighed in today, and ~ after our trip to Florida ~ I am UP 3 pounds. Not at all happy about that, but it could have been worse. I will get those calories off ASAP!!! And then some!!!

EXERCISE!
I just finished riding the recumbent cycle (stationary bike) for 30 minutes!!! Feelin' great!!! I thought that having an "exercise" topic might encourage us to "just do it" so we can post our progress! Hope it helps! :wink:

I thought I put this topic up on Thursday, but I don't see a 2/7/13 weigh-in. My scale broke (YIKES!), so I had to weigh myself on an older scale and it showed that I was several pounds down.
