true hourglass figures
I'm an hourglass and am dropping weight relatively fast and was wondering if any other true hour glasses have experienced the same? I had read that our shape gains and loses the fastest and want to see how true it is. So,please, if you are not a true hourglass shape (and many on here who claim to be, when looking at their…

Souls in Purgatory
Have any of you read the book Hungry Souls? What did you think? Have you experienced souls in your house? We've has a few instances that have prompted us to pray for them. 1. We had a perfectly round bubble floating through our house (it would duck under doorways and follow us around, never popping). When I lifted up the…

New here and initited as support
Recently my husband has been noticing our nearly 2 year old having staring spells (he stays home with the kids). I was off last week and shocked at the fact that it seemed he had these every day, at least once per day. My mom waswith us for one of them and she said she really believes it to be petit mal seizures. So, I…

Introvert or extrovert
So, I read this article from a Time magazine at my in-laws yesterday (I don't know how many weeks old it is) on the power of introverts. It got me thinking, how many of us in the Debatable Group are introverts off the computer? Me, I'm a total introvert, completely exhausted after spending time in groups, usually am the…

Modest Before/After success photos
Okay, so I don't have any progress photos yet, but I'm tired of seeing underwear photos in the success forum and thought that we could post our success photos here where we're wearing modest attire.

I'd roll my eyes less
if those who claim to be "open-minded" and then go about being rude, trashing, or insulting those with different views than them would just stop saying they are "open-minded" or "tolerant" when they clearly are not. Anyone else agree with me on this?

Health conscience parents and their crazy ways
There is a girl I watch who has trouble using the restroom (I usually spend 15minutes helping here to relax and go). Her parents are concerned about her having healthy things so the don't allow her to eat Fiber One bars (for example) because of some chemical in them. Yet, they feed her cheese because it's healthy?…

Remind about birthday
Do any of you avoid talking about you birthday (or that of your children's) close to the date to see who remembers? Yes, I know, petty, but kinda a debate (maybe I'm just crazy or want to know who the heck cares in my world). Frankly I don't care if anyone remembers my birthday but I get pissed when grandparents and/or…

Now I see it
I've been at a terrible plateau for two weeks now and have been a little frustrated. I've lost about 35 pounds (maybe more) but the first photo is from my heaviest (I don't know how much I was here, but at least 235). The second was from Christmas. Yes, they are taken at different angles, but I can finally see the…

NSV - The old, smaller clothes are coming out of the closet
So, on Christmas Eve I didn't have anything to wear and had credit at Kohl's so I thought that I would get something new. I pulled size 14 and 16 pants from the rack to try on and xlarge and large tops and sweaters to try on. Just for kicks I decided to try on the smaller sizes first and thought that there was no way they…

December situp/crunches challenge
So my husband and I are challenging each other to perform 3100 (100 per day) situps and/or crunches in December and I thought I would extend it to the MFP community. So, who's game?

Horrible but good NSV
Yesterday I went to a holiday party, indulged on the things I would have indulged on three months ago without a second thought (and would have been just fine and satisfied). Well, last night and all through the night and today I feel like a garbage dump. So it's great to know that my body has changed on what it finds as…

Breastfeeding the over 12 months child
My son is 13 months and the only times I add (or subtract) my bf calories is when I pump. Though i'm wondering if I should guess better since he still nurses about 7 times per day. What do you do when figuring out your calories. I increased my minimum to 1400 instead of the 1200 mfp suggested and only add in the pumped…

How did I get that big? Now down 30+ pounds with pics
The first is from this past summer (about 2 1/2 months prior to MFP) and I don't know how much I weighed, but it was probably more than the 230 I started at on here. The bottom two are from today. I don't notice a difference in the pictures, but in real life I notice the difference. I still have a bit to go, but at least…

A lesson on water consumption
This morning I stepped on the scale and had gained 4 pounds since last week (210 on the scale) (yes, I had Mexican last night which didn't help). I drank 6 glasses of water between breakfast and lunch, stepped on the scale at lunch and I was 205. Lesson learned about how important it is to drink water to flush out the…

Something you'd like to see made but others think gross
Okay, so I say this to hubby all the time and he thinks I'm totally gross, but I woul LOVE if it were possible to make a bubble gum that tasted like a garlic salt steak and wouldn't lose it's flavor until at least 10 minutes. How about you?

One month anniversary, down 16 pounds
I started MFP on September 19 at 230, today I weigh 214. Wow, now I know not to expect a 16 pound loss this month, but I definitely can see being in the 190s by Christmas. Iwill have to see what a good washing does, but my favorite pair of jeans couldn't stay on me yesterday, I was constantly pulling them up.
