Type II Diabetes / Gastric Bypass / Calorie Consumption
At my last check-up with my PCP I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. He said he didn't want to put my on insulin because it wasn't horrible so he gave me Trulicity which is a once weekly injection which will help control my sugar - one of the side affects is that it curbs your appetite and helps lose weight... I had NO…

Time to switch up routine?
Im a 30 year old female, 5'5, 270 lbs and headed into my 4th week of working out and consistently logging with MFP. I've lost about 10 lbs so far by doing 3 days of cardio and 3 days of strength training. My goal is to lose weight, keep the muscle I have and tone up. Last week I noticed that instead of taking my usual hour…

What do you do when you can't find nutrition facts?
I'm headed to a business dinner at Paladar Latin Kitchen tomorrow and I can't find nutrition facts anywhere online. Google has betrayed me! :) What do you do when this happens? A lot of the dishes are complicated and have many elements that are tricky to add separately.

Rep question
Does it matter if you do sets of 5 vs 10 vs 15 ect? If I plan on doing 50 reps does it matter how I get there? I've been doing 5 sets of 10 but there's one machine where I can only do like 7 and the numbers are odd like that until I can finally do 50

Eating my feelings... but not sure what those feelings are
I have a good day, I eat a lot. I have a bad day, I eat a lot. I love to eat, a lot. Am I addicted to food? I'm not sure. I would say I was an emotional eater but does that really count if I eat with every emotion? I have no one that I can confide in to help me better understand so I thought what better than to reach out…

Help me... bad at math :)
I've been logging everything I eat for about 45 days straight. I've lost 21 pounds which I think it good, especially because I'm heavier so I expected it to come off quickly at first. However, the last 2 weekly weigh-in's have been disheartening. I've lost .2 lbs in 14 days. I'm obviously doing something wrong right? I…

my weight went UP.... help!
I need some opinions here.. I believe this is my 35th or 36th day of straight logging on MFP and I've lost 20 lbs to date (woohoo). This morning, however, I gained .2lbs back - I know I know, not a huge deal but I haven't weighed in for 10 days. The only change from this weigh-in to the previous ones is that I started…

Day before a weigh in
Does anyone do anything different the day before their weigh in? Less water, more exercise, less calories, etc? Has it worked? I feel like I should treat it like every other day but I also think if I drink as much water as normal that I'll weigh more?

Anyone else have this experience?
Hi everyone - I'm new to the group! I'm 28 and have had PCOS as long as I can remember. I think my periods were semi-normal up until I was about 18... then they started getting more and more spaced out until I wasn't having any at all. I gained about 100 lbs - I won't blame it on the PCOS only... I did go through…

ouch
so I joined MFP in January and have lost 19 lbs (yes, I'm bragging and I don't care haha) but I'm currently only walking as my work out - the problem is that I get horrible shin splints from walking!!! within 10 minutes of being on the treadmill, I have to get off and stretch before I can continue. It's really limited my…

fitting pants
Is there anyone else out there that has a larger stomach but thinner legs? I need a size 22/24 pant so that it buttons and doesn't cause the muffin top but then they are HUGE in the legs and I look like MC Hammer - nothing against him of course! In jeans, I can buy skinny jeans and it seems to do the trick but I wear dress…

PCOS with progress
I'm 28 and started using MFP regularly in January. I have since lost 18 pounds (woot woot) but my PCOS is constantly a thorn in my side. A little back ground is that I've had it for quite some time but for the past 7 or 8 years I've had only 1 period per year if I was lucky. Now that I'm losing weight, I'm by no means…

Constipation?
Everyone's favorite topic right? :) Anyway, I've been eating relatively healthy for the past 2 weeks. No fast food and lots of fruits and veggies. Drinking a lot of water too. 4 days ago I had a sharp pain in my side/back and I couldn't get comfortable. I did some research and thought it could be a kidney stone. I haven't…

My job is moving - and now my mouth wants to
So, it's almost been a week since I found out my job will be relocating to another state. Granted, it's only 1 hr and 30 minutes away but I've lived in one area for my whole life. Family, friends.. you can't find that anywhere else. The good news is that the company is paying me to move and giving me quite a few bonuses.…

Weekly Goals
I know for me, long-term goals seem so hard to achieve and so "far away" that I get frustrated. I'm going to make a goal that I can achieve/change weekly to keep myself on track and make this journey exciting. It can be anything from losing x amount of lbs, drinking x amount of water daily, burning x amount of calories…

Hey, I'm new!
Hello! This is my first time on this site, I have used another version of a food tracker before on my phone but I had no way of also keep track of workouts which made me quit.. and very tired lol. My question is - how does MyFitnessPal know how many calories I burn in a workout? I look forward to making new friends during…
