1,200 calories = STARVING CINDY!
I just read a thread where people were saying they were ok with eating only 1,200 calories/day and did not feel hungry or deprived. I, on the other hand, feel ravenous most of the day and my thoughts are consumed with when my next snack/meal will be (and yes, I'm aware that if I exercise I can eat more). If you're one of…

Shin Splints
I'm fairly certain I have them, considering whenever I even slightly touch my shins they hurt like hell. And I believe I know the source - I've been doing Zumba on a hard floor without give for several months. My question is, are there any special shoes I can wear to give me support to avoid doing any further damage? And…

Suggestions for a calories-burned tracker.
I have a Polar M61 HRM, but I'm over it - too complicated and pretty much just prehistoric. Anyone have advice on a simple device that strictly tracks the amount of calories I've burned throughout the day/during exercise? Thanks!

Spicy chicken & roasted red pepper sandwich
Honestly, I did *not* anticipate for this to be as delicious (and low in calories/sodium) as it was! I'm *definitely* going to make this again & again! 2.5 oz. Amish Valley - Boneless Skinless Breast Tenders 1.5 oz. fresh red bell pepper, roasted 1/2 oz. red onion slice Spread (mix the following ingredients): 2 tbsp. Kraft…

Help with calories burned - Zumba
Hi everyone! I'm 5'4", 128lbs. I just did 80 minutes of Zumba without a HRM, so I'm not sure how much I burned. Has anyone with my same body composition done a similar exercise for the same amount of time with a HRM? I just want a close estimation. Thanks!

Eating late = gaining weight?
Myth or truth? If I eat my dinner at 11pm versus 5pm, am I going to gain weight?

Bloggers - to pic, or not to pic?
I'm not a blogger, nor do I frequent blogs. However, my friend is so she's "introduced" me to some of her blogging friends. Correct me if my observation is wrong, but why don't any of them ever post pictures of themselves? Why do they only post pictures of objects, or cartoons or sayings? Is there a reason behind that? Are…

Calisthenics
Somebody please define. When I do my abs/thighs/legs workout, I can't truly log it as cardio since my heart-rate isn't increasing dramatically, but I think I should be able to log it as *something*.

Prayers, please
I'm not a really religious person, but please take the time today to put these people in your thoughts for a moment. This is a little town just about 20 miles south of where I live (I actually lived there 8 years while I was married to my first husband - my oldest son would've been going to school there if we hadn't…

Brazil Butt Lift
Has anyone tried it with any success? I bought it earlier this month and have been doing it , but not religiously (I haven't even *breathed* the word "exercise" in quite a long time, so baby steps). A lot of the exercises require balance, which I have very little of, but assume I would acquire with time. But with the CD's…

Lawry's - Chimichurri Burrito Casserole Spices & Seasonings
Oh my god DELICIOUS!!! I thought it was going to be absolutely horrible when it came to the numbers on my food diary, but aside from the high sodium (and I suppose if I took the time to read labels and used low-sodium/salt ingredients, it would've reduced the number drastically), it really wasn't bad at all! Highly…

Water/Tea
I know I've read this before, but do you count iced tea as your water intake? And I mean freshly brewed, not store-bought (but I *did* add Splenda).

Question about periods - oh joy!
My period's batty. This is the first time in my history of periods (except for being pregnant) that it's not being "normal". I'm getting it way more often than I should (or want). So my theory goes two ways - the only changes in my life right now that I can see affecting my cycle is #1 I'm getting older. I don't think 42…

Low-Sodium
Anyone have any *tasty* low-sodium recipes? I just realized that my sodium has been through the roof and I really need to cut back. My problem is, i *LOVE* salt - if I could carry a salt-lick around with me, I would. I just think things taste awfully bland without it. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks:smile:

Transferring Pics from MySpace
I have a TON of pics on MySpace that I no longer have on my PC (they were lost). I never use MS anymore, but I can't delete my account until I've resaved all of the pics onto my new PC. Problem is, it's going to take F-O-R-E-V-E-R because there are soooo many! Is there some secret way I can do this in one fell swoop…

Can somebody please...
.....tell me what the heck I'm doing wrong? I'm eating at/below my calories & exercising and am losing next to nothing. It's reeeaaally discouraging and I'm about to attack the pantry (and let me tell you, Little Debbie & my pantry are bff's). Please take a look at my diary and lmk. Thanks!

Measuring Food
When a recipe calls for a measurement of an ingredient, do you "pack" the ingredient in the cup, or put it in loosely? For instance, when I make a salad, 2 cups of the mix = 20 calories. Are these 2 cups packed? Same goes for shredded cheese. Am I supposed to put the cheese in, push it down and continue to fill the cup? Am…

If a recipe calls for....
....shrimp, fish or any other types of seafood, what would be a good substitution. I *hate* seafood - nothing that ever swam will touch my lips - but the meal plan I'm on suggests several meals made with tilapia or shrimp. What would be equal in nutrients? Thanks!

False Nutrition Information
This topic has probably been broached many times before, but I've never seen it so I apologize if I'm being redundant. Why is it that some MFP nutrition information varies from entry to entry? I'm sitting here looking directly at the package and it reads, "0 calories", yet when I pull the item up to add to my diary, it…

Exercise & Calories Burned
Does anyone else "feel bad" for these people who enter exercise/calories burned that are absolutely excessive and ridiculous? I'm no expert, but I'm fairly certain you can't burn 1,400 calories by vacuuming your house (my carpets would be spotless if that were the case). Just because MFP has it in its database doesn't mean…

Calculating weight loss
I have two "Biggest Loser" competitions going on right now - one at work, and one with my neighborhood friends. Obviously tracking/choosing a winner can't be based on total number of pounds lost. Can anyone tell me the formula the actual "Biggest Loser" show uses to determine who the winner is? I know it's percentage of…
