Weight training again
So here's a new question, if you can only to one day a week on weight training , could that be enough to start to help? I see all of these questions asking is this too much, I want to ask is this not enough? I do some resistance in the CX works class I attend and some in yoga but I really want to start some weight…

I have been a MFP user for a bit. Did well, stopped and then came back. Just due to change my eating I was able to loose weight. I am not the best logger, I will admit that. So I decided to start exercising. I go to a CX Works ( 30 minutes) class 2 X / Week, Zumba ( 1 hour ) 2 X / week, and an hour of Yoga. Unfortunately…

Here's a dumb question
I want to start the squat challenge I found on the the Blog section, I know I'm a bit late but better late than never right ? I feel that I bend too much at my hip/waist to keep my balance. Is there a "best" angle or range of angles, that your back is to be compared to the floor ? Thanks

Weight circuits
OK, so keep reading about all of the "heavy lifting " programs out there ( TNROLFW as an example). My question is , can one start with the circuit training, and do that for a bit and then go for the other type? I currently do Zumba, CX works, and a yoga class- all twice weekly, and I would like to add some strength…

C25K question
I am thinking about starting the C25K program. I want to do this in my home area and not on a track, so what is the best way to time all of the intervals? I can just see me running, trying to see the seconds on my watch, hitting a stick etc and doing a face plant. Ideas? Thx.

Weekend logging
Does anyone have the problem of logging on on the weekend? Yes I do back slide on the weekends, and I am not afraid of logging, but gosh do I find it hard to do. During the week I do fairly good, though I am in the prosses of getting back on the wagon, so I'm perfect but still. Thanks.:flowerforyou:

Question. IS there a place to save recipes off of the community board? I know you can look in "my topics" , but even with the small amount of posts I have it is hard to find a recipe when I need it. Thanks :glasses:

Keeping recipes seperate
Gotta question. When you are in the message boards, you can "bump" or answer questions etc and then you can go back to those messages in "my topics". My questions when someone give a recipe is there a way to put it somewhere else so you can still find it? I dont have many post but I still have to go through so much to find…

Another question
I was reading another post, and one person told another to decrease carbs to a certain number and then said you will be likely eating more vegetables, fruit and meat ( to that effect). So how does one decrease carbs yet eat more vegetables and fruits? I know when I put those in my food diary the carbs go up. I mean every…

When I started MFP I had a lightly active life style and that is what I but in my info. Now I am exercising at least 3 times per week, so do I change that setting? THX:smile:

Can you start with free weights
I keep reading about all of the 5X5 programs and how that it the "best way" to start lifting to gain muscle. Can you start with some free weights to begin with with (those I have at home and gym) rather than the 5x5?

Which should I do
When I first signed on I was only lightly active and that's what I checked. Now I exercise at least 3 times a week. Can I continue the just eating back calories from the exercise or should I go and change the "exercise" setting. Is one better than the other?

Zumba
So I have started taking a Zumba class twice a week. Am I really to believe that I burn 800+ calories during that hour?

Getting started again
I fell off the wagon about 8 months ago, when the calorie amount droped down to 1460 calories / day. I quess I just thought I can't do that, I was doing so well with the 1560, I was totally shocked at the new number. Anyone have any ideas how to get restarted?

Question about division
Division of Carbs v's protein v's fat. I did the math and if I eat like MFP wants I would have 55 % carbs's, 30 % fats and only 15% carbs. Somethings gotta be wrong, don't you think? I mean out of 1490 calories I can have: 205 grams of carbs X 4 cal/gr = 820 cal and 820 cals/1490 = 55 % How can that be correct?

BPM and walking
Ok, dumb question:embarassed: I am looking into walking with music, and I had a wonderful person on another post send me to jog fm for some wonderful songs for a close to X minute mile based on BPM. Like a 13 minute mile is close to 158 BPM. Am I supposed to actually walk 158 steps in that time ? Or how does that work?…

Long footed women
Does anyone know a company that makes sized 12 in womens? Maybe a company that is not immediately brought to mind? Right now I have to wear mens shoes that a way too wide. Thx all
