I questioned which forum to put this, I decided that it may receive less derp in here. Simple question; its late in the day and you are short on protein but also short on calories. Eating more on lift days?
I am getting pretty close to the weight I want to be but I still have bf% of about 19.5. I am considering eating at maintenance on lifting days at my current deficit on off days. I don't have a problem with it taking a little longer to get rid of the spare tire. Any reason to not do this, or any different ideas.

I started Stronglifts 5X5 yesterday and being the marshmallow that I am, my legs are pretty sore today. I was gonna do a cardio workout today. Go ahead? What about tomorrow, do I squat again tomorrow if I am still sore. I am a marshmallow, but I am not a sissy, I CAN do it...but should I?

Confused about lifting and weight loss
Somebody help me out. You cant build muscle without eating at a surplus and you cant lose weight without eating at a deficit. I understand both of these. So what is the physiology of lifting while losing weight. If I am not building muscle, whats the point? I know there is one, I just don't understand.
