Apple Watch Steps on MFP
I am less than thrilled, with the Apple Watch integration with MFP. As I understand it, MFP will sync workouts and steps but not active calories. So... Anyone know what the steps to calories burned calculation is? I turned off letting negative calorie adjustments, because it kept taking my exercise calories away. So today…

Healthy "Fast Food" suggestions
Wednesday is takeout night, due to the fact that I won't get home until 7:30 - 8:00. What are your favorite chain take-out places and what are your favorite healthy orders? I have to pick up food for a family of four -- all with very distinct tastes

Happy Scale
Anyone use this app? What do you think about it? I weigh myself daily, and hate the fluctuations, a lot of which seem to be water weight. This app allows you to record your weight daily and gives you trends and a "predicted" weight based on average weight.

Trying to Maintain but slowly losing
I hit maintenance back in October/November. My goal weight was 155. I decided to try to maintain at about 152.5 - meaning a range of 150-155. That is essentially what I did through February. In late February and early March, I noticed my weight trending downward, which it has continued to do. I didn't focus on it too much…

Good Luck to all the "Newbies"
A year ago, give or take a day, I joined MFP hoping to get my weight under control. In November, I reached my (adjusted down!) goal, 70 lbs lost. For those that are starting on your journey, I wish you luck. Stick to your long terms goals and don't be afraid to mix it up and try something new. Do what works for you -- but…

How was THAT 1100 cals?
OMG, I went to Longhorn Steakhouse and ordered a Grilled Chicken Apple Harvest Salad. Ingredients were: Crisp Fuji apples, pecans, dried cranberries, bacon, sweet potato crisps and spinach in an apple cider vinaigrette - and of course chicken. Wasn't a mega salad (portion wise, I think it was smaller than the salads I get…

Question -- Net Carbs in diary entries
When I search for foods in the diary, sometimes I see entries with " (net carbs)" added in the title. What does this mean? When I look at the nutrition facts they match the label - so why the "(net carbs)" in the title?

Gained 30 lbs in 3 wks? Extreme Weight Loss
Did anyone see Extreme Weight Loss last night? I was watching it between doing other things, but saw the part where she gained 30 pounds in three weeks. Falling off your diet is one thing, but gaining 10 lbs a week? How is that even possible?

Water retention, weight fluctuations, vent
I am so sick of weight fluctuations caused by water retention. I wish my body would just stop randomly (to me) retaining water! It is driving me CRAZY. It is not primarily sodium, generally I keep my sodium intake low. Right now I think it is more the summer heat and humidity and I need to drink more water. Overall I find…

Cruise --- drink recommendations
I leave on a cruise in a week and a half. I am not going to calorie count, but am going to try to make good choices. I will have some drinks:drinker: Knowing some drinks are loaded with calories and others, not so much, I am seeking drink recommendations. What are your favorite drinks that are not loaded with calories?

Two and a half weeks until my cruise
And my body decides to retain every bit of fluid I put in. Drinking like crazy right now trying to get rid of the water weight :drinker: Will not be pleased if this keeps me from meeting my pre-cruise goal  But on a happier note TWO AND A HALF WEEKS UNTIL MY CRUISE

Going on a 7 night cruise
We have a cruise scheduled for next month. I am looking of any and all advice from people who have been on cruises. What worked for you? Any tips? Right now I am thinking I will try to focus on fruit for breakfast, light lunches, and then not worry about dinner. I probably will not drink much, more for personal preference.…

Exercise/Eat Calores vs No exercise/Don't Eat
When I joined MFP one of the things I ended up doing was developing a new attitude towards exercise and weight lose. Previously, at least mentally, I approached the two separately. To lose weight I needed to cut back my calories AND I needed to exercise. Failing to do both and I ended up feeling guilty and discouraged. So,…

Guesstimating calories -- Japanese
We have a locally owned fast food restaurant that serves Japanese food. They grill the food right when you order it -- the food is made similar to what you get at a Japanese Steakhouse, but without the extra courses. Portion size is large -- one order fills a standard takeout container, with white rice, meat, zucchini,…

Accurate calorie counts
I have been here a week and already am suspicious of the calorie counts on many foods in the database -- particularly for the ingredients in a recipe (ie not one scanned into the database.)
