skipping breakfast is OK

Eating Healthy on a Budget
I got this from a spam email, but it contains a lot of good advice. https://www.healthgrades.com/right-care/food-nutrition-and-diet/10-tips-for-eating-healthy-on-a-budget A lot of the advice involves planning. And planning failure has repeatedly killed my best diet intentions over the years. In 2018 we've subscribed to…

seasonal weight cycles ?
Many mammals bulk up for winter. When younger I usually added a few pounds in the cold months then dropped them in spring. Is this a recognized human cycle? Does it explain why I began remaining hungry instead of satiated after a meal?

Cell Biology Questions
My understanding may be wrong and I'd like to know what is right > Nerve and brain cells are finite, once broken never repair or replicate > Skin cells are constantly being replaced with new ones. And questions are about fat and muscle cells > Are fat cells like nerve cells, they fill and deflate but never go away? Do they…

Lowering total number of fat cells
I'd previously got some seemingly good information from this post: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10663833/cell-biology-questions It made me sad that the reality was my genetics and early childhood development locked me into a lifetime with a lot of fat cells, be they full or empty, but OK I'll deal with…

Uneaten Frying Oil
I just fixed a recipe that fried 4 burgers in 2 tbsp of coconut oil. when I finished most of the oil remained in the pan. Should I just take the calorie hit for all the oil or reduce it for logging? In a past life I would make gravy from it, but I've developed an allergy to gravy...it makes me fat.

eating the minimum
I'm 11 weeks into my second go at this and have lost 43 to date. I needed to lose 30 of 330 fast before a surgery so ate the minimum 1200 to do that. I'm recovering from that nicely now and encouraged by results, reset my goal from 250 to 180 (BMI normal for 6' male) My lifestyle is now adjusted to eating a very healthy…

nutrient deficiency side effects?
I'm eating under my manly minimum of 1200 cal per day. MFP discourages me from doing so with a warning about "nutrient deficiency side effects". If I'm eating clean and healthy food, taking a multivitamin, and not feeling deprived, what specific side effects besides faster weigh loss might I experience?

Full Steam Ahead?
I'm out to lose 150 lbs and the first two weeks have been great. About a pound per day is disappearing and only once did I add a few potato chips. Many tempting opportunities and snacking patterns have been overcome. I log faithfully. My wonderful wife is super supportive working on a 20lb decline herself. Unfortunately my…

max heart rate
220 - 54 = 166, my max heart rate according to the formla. I've been treadmilling an hour most days for an hour for 9 months now and raising the incine as I got stronger to maintain a target heart rate. I wear a HRM and am now very comfortable at 140 bpm for the full hour.which is about 85% of my max heart rate. Is it safe…

Peaches
SO good and in season for USA NOW. I just loaded up on the best I've had since last year for 67 cent per pound. (HEB supermarket) Get them while they last. At about 90 calories for these jumbos what's not to love.

Does HRM calories subtract BMR?
I recently began using a Polar FT7 heart rate monitor (HRM) that tells me I burn 500 calories in an hour on the treadmill. The basic metabolism rate (BMR) tool here tells me my BMR is 91 calories per hour. During the hour on the treadmill did I actually burn 500 calories more than my BMR or does the 500 include the 91 I…

Memorial Day Indulgences
What are you going to eat too much of on Memorial Day? I'm pre-planning to have a watermelon binge. It has pretty low calories and is very filling,. We rarely have it because I'm the only one in the family that likes it. When we have it I have to eat almost all that gets eaten and toss the rest. The new little ones are way…

Are your pants falling down?
Either get colorful hiphop gangsta style boxers or fix it grandpa style. Wear suspenders under your shirt. It works great and no one knows. You'll get a lot more mileage from your XL wardrobe (I like the ones from Wmart that clip under belt instead of the alligator style clips)

fixed number of fat cells in body?
Is it true? I heard long ago that the number of fat cells in my body is fixed at a very young age and that people like me blessed with a large number store fat easier. My niece's experience would add some credibility to that theory because having undergone a lot of liposuction the only place she can gain weight is in her…

extra skin-after weight loss
OK I'm well past youth and I'm going to loose from 312 to 166 by managing calories and exercise. Will I have extremely baggy skin afterward? Will it ever self correct? Should I be doing anything now to prevent or reduce it? Is cosmetic surgery costly or painful?

my goal is to lose weight. in addition to counting cals I'm on the treadmill day and getting stronger. i'm up to a 15 % grade now and love watching the cals burned tick higher and faster, but so is my heart rate getting up to 130-140 range. i'm 53 and confused about what heart rate I should target to lose weight?
