I am just not hungry in the morning but sleep so much better with a serving of oatmeal before bed.
Now I feel vindicated

I think skipping any meal is ok (generally speaking). In fact, I'd say it could be a hindrance, as it could lead to overconsumption, if one were to eat when not hungry in order to be "healthy".4

I am generally not a breakfast person, and I have never seen a connection between my success in weight loss or my struggle with weight gain if I do or do not eat breakfast. It's personal preference. If I am hungry I may have some yogurt or an egg, otherwise I have my coffee and eat when I finally feel hungry.2

I am intermittent fasting and choose not to eat until 1pm. Personally, it works very well for me and I am finding it easier to eat less calories without worrying about what I should be eating in the morning - and I did use to do that - healthy choices, etc.2
