Looking for Accountability Friends
Been on MFP for over 10 years. I've met some awesome people over the years and would love to have more accountability friends!

Starting all over again!
I've been a member off and on with MFP since 2011. Been successful on it before, but over time I've fallen off the wagon and putting on the weight again. Figuring I was able to do it on my own without tracking, clearly I was wrong! Looking for some friends for motivation and to help keep me on track!

Hello Friends!
I'm back again after majorly falling off the wagon. I've tried Weight Watchers and wasn't too successful with it. I've originally joined MFP back in 2011 and was successful with it originally, but then life got in the way, stress, you name it. And the weight came back on. Looking for some accountability friends!

Back at It!!
MFP has been a very valuable tool. I've been a user since 2011, originally lost over 70lbs. I got too complacent fell off the wagon and have been struggling ever since. Then the pandemic hit, gyms closed, and I just kinda sorta gave up. I've put about 30lbs back on and I'm still struggling to work out again, even with gyms…

Let's try this again
Hi I'm Crystal! Recently I've noticed I've been gaining my weight back again. This time, I've gained some back because I've been dealing with my mom's passing and turning to food as a coping mechanism. I haven't wanted to work out and I'm really starting to dislike who I've become. Backstory - I initially got up to 235lbs,…

Had an ablation and IUD procedure
Hey all! This is a question for the ladies. Has anyone here had an ablation done and an IUD inserted and had problems with losing weight no matter your diet and exercise? I had heard that it takes months for your body to regulate and it's hard to lose weight. Just wanted to see if anyone here has experienced that.

Breakfast Ideas
Hey all! I've been eating oatmeal, blueberries with some chocolate chips almost daily during the week. I put it in a container and away I go! I'm actually kinda getting sick of it but I need breakfast that's on the go. What do you guys typically eat?

Starting Over Again
Hey fellow MFP Peeps! I'm Crystal. I've been using MFP off and on since 2012. I've had pretty good success with it. But last year in March I had a surgery that stopped me from having periods (for other medical reasons) as well as having an IUD put in too. After the recovery I tried to go back to the gym and tried to get…

Restarting
Hey all! I've been on this journey since 2011 when I hit 235lbs. Managed to get down to 165 now I'm back up to 188. Last year I had a surgery to stop my periods as well as had an IUD. After that I lost motivation once I saw the scale starting to climb up even though I was doing the exact same thing post surgery. Then in…

Fitbit & Negative Adjustments
Does anyone here allow for negative adjustments for their fitbit? I can't decide whether I should allow it to or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Falling off the wagon
It's been a few months since I last went to the gym. Stopped tracking food and everything. I find it really hard to go back to the routine I once had. Does anyone have tips on how to climb back on the wagon? Thanks in advance 🙂

70+ Down!
After seeing so many successful stories, I decided to share my own story! I started my journey when I looked at myself in the mirror, stepped on the scale, and just generally was fed up with what I had let myself become. A 235 pound, very unhappy, very unhealthy woman. This is where that 235 pound woman would cease to…

Big Decision!!!
Since 2011, I've been focused on fat loss, watching how much I eat and everything of the sort. I think my body is starting to tell me it needs a change. Lately I've been starting to realize more and more that I'm quite happy being the size that I am, and perhaps its time to start putting some muscle on these bones, giving…

Cutting
Ive been debating on going on a cut sooner than i had planned. Been eating 2220+ cals for quite awhile now and have been thinking if scaling back to 1900 for a few weeks to see if i can get rid of some stubborn fat. Then bring the cals back up again.

Confessions of a Weigh-A-Holic
https://bmkfitness.wordpress.com/2016/08/17/confessions-of-a-weigh-a-holic/ I wrote this blog post today, and I hope some of you will read it and share with others. I don't want anyone else to fall into the same trap that I did.

Back again, 3rd time
OK, I'm back at eating more again. Yes for the third time, but this time it'll stick. Why? Because I started to see results in the area that i wanted them in. Realized the only way was because I was eating more. Doing Ashley Horner's Charlie Mike 5 days a week eating 1600-1700 calories was not cutting it for me, especially…

Almost 70 pounds lost, 15 more to go!
Over 4 years ago I reached my heaviest of 235 pounds. Life stresses got in the way, uncontrolled eating, and the fact that I had a sit down job didn't really help. I got my butt in gear, tried different programs until I found something that worked. A few years ago I joined Snap Fitness and worked hard. Of course the pounds…

Getting really discouraged here.....
Ive been doing Ashley Horners Charlie Mike now for 5 weeks and its coming to an end. Really enjoyed it and will try it again in the fall. Before hand I was doing regular lifting 4 to 5 times a week with cardio eating about 1600-1800 calories. A couple weeks ago a friend convinced me to eat 2000 calories because for the…

Getting Frustrated
For about a year I've been consistently lifting heavy, with some cardio, and some HIIT. Since starting to lift heavy I haven't really seen any good results. Recently I've been diagnosed with Anemia and im on some iron supplements to bring up my ferritin levels. I've had my calories as low as 1300-1400 a day to about…

5x5 or 3x5?
Hey all! Not sure if I should be doing 5x5 or 3x5 with these workouts. I'm looking to lose fat and bf%.

Cardio
So i'm sure this has been asked like a million times, so please forgive me. How much cardio do you guys do? I was doing almost 6 days a week or cardio, with a mix of steady state and hiit. But im finding out i'm doing too much and should just stick with 2x15 min HIIT sessions and 2x15 steady state sessions a week.

Calories
I have my nutrition plan on FitBit setup for a deficit of 250. But when I add everything up it doesn't seem to work out. How is the calories calculated for what you are to consume a day on FitBit app? For example the gauge says I'm under budget but the amount left for the day under it says I'm over. I don't get it

Body Recomp
So I'm giving this eating more thing another chance. It took me getting a Fitbit and seeing that my body burns about 2500-2600 calories a day with exercise. I was eating 1600 calories a day. So that was about 1000 calories under a day. I'm guessing this is why my body would store the fat. On workout days I'll consume more…

Extreme Low Ferritin Levels
Few weeks ago my doctor had some blood work done on me to figure out why I'm so tired. Then a few days ago he brought me in for those results. Turns out my ferritin levels were at a 4 when they should be a lot higher. He asked if I was donating blood and I said no but my periods sometimes tend to be heavy. He's put me on…

Back at it again!
Hey all! I've been off and on this forum for awhile, still trying to figure out why I'm stalling so bad. So here's where I'm at: I've been around 160 pounds for months now, and have lost next to no inches. My current activity level is I lift weights 4 times a week, and I do cardio 4-5 days a week with 2 of those days being…

No working out :(
Hey all! So I got into a vehicle accident last week Friday and I can't do any kind of heavy lifting, cardio or anything like that. I've got whiplash and i'm off work for awhile. So with that being said, should I continue to eat at a deficit to lose fat? Or should I eat at maintenance? I only have a few % left to go and…

Very little progress
Hey all! I've been doing this now for the past few weeks and I haven't really seen any inches go lower. My bf% has been staying roughly the same. I was eating around 1900-2000 calories a day and it seems I have stalled. Getting slightly discouraged here. I lift 3 times a week and do very little cardio. Mainly taking my…

Giving this a go again
Hey all! I've already met some fantastic people from this group. I tried this out before last year, saw a gain on the scale and immediately dropped my calories back down to 1300-1600. Sure I saw some pounds lost but didn't see inches gone all that much. Been doing some heavy lifting in the process with little cardio. After…

Not really new but....
I'm not really new to MFP but i'm really into lifting now and am looking for some friends who are big time into lifting and body recomp! Could use the extra motivation :)
