Anyone want to do the 30 day shred with me?
Hi everyone! I am looking for MFP pals who want to give the 30 day shred a go (or another chance). I did it a few years ago and saw really good results. I did 2 days of Level 1 already but am happy to repeat if anyone wants to start from the beginning with me. I really need help with accountability and thought this might…

Ligamentous laxity&knee problems..is it ok to lift heavy?
After suffering with knee pain for a few months and therefore not being able to exercise properly, I finally made it to the doctor yesterday. First of all, my x-rays showed that I have perfect knees (if only I do say so myself..the doctor just said the x-rays are good :P) Apparently I have signs of osteoarthritis, but the…

How long to bulk before cutting (&should i cut at all?)
I lift weights 3 times a week and I don't do any cardio. I have been eating at maintenance forever now (sometimes intentionally and sometimes even after an attempt to cut :P) From last month I increased my calories to 200 calories above TDEE in an attempt to 'bulk' and build muscle. And I see changes in my arms (which have…

30 Day Ab Challenge!
I'm breaking out of my usual habit of NEEDING to start everything new on the first of the month (OCD, much? :P) So, I started the 30 Day Ab Challenge today! Is there anyone that wants to join me? Its basically sit ups, crunches, leg raises and planks..and you build up on the number each day (they don't all have to be done…

Bad posture
Hi all! I was wondering if any of you have been able to correct bad posture through exercise (or any other way)? My slouch has gotten so bad that when I try to straighten up a bit, it makes my back hurt from the effort! And its highly unattractive, especially because I'm short! Any suggestions?

HUGE arms!
I have heard that lifting heavy weights doesn't make women bulk up. But since starting Chalean Extreme, my arms have become bigger then they were before. There's definitely less jiggle..but they seem pretty huge and quite a few people have noticed. Plus, my clothes are super tight at my upper arms. Though I like a bit of…

Progress..3 lbs lost! Back to pre-EM2WL weight!
I have lost the remaining 2 pounds that I gained on the Reset (total 3 pounds)!!! And to top it off..I've lost some inches..nothing major just yet, half inches here and there..but they ARE GONE! And I feel less huge and more energetic! I am now back to my year-long 'plateau' weight..only this time, I'm confident that I…

Logging Insanity!
I've done a search of the forums but can't find exactly how much Insanity burns! I'm 5'1", weigh 132 pounds..Is there anyone with similar stats who can give me an approximate number? I don't think heart rate monitors are available where I live (and if they are they'll cost an arm and a leg). I logged the Fit Test as…

First pound lost since starting EM2WL!!
Of the 3 pounds I gained on Reset, I lost 1 pound, finally!! *happy dance* After 14 weeks on Reset and 2 weeks of a 10% cut (with plenty of days going waaaay over even in those 2 weeks)..the scales have finally budged! Just wanted to let you all know! I'm totally motivated again! :D

Finally, a successful week @10% cut!
As many of you already know, I was supposed to make my cut on the 1st of September, after 12 weeks of Reset. But I simply couldn't do it! I kept eating at TDEE or over..even more so because I was nervous about going back down to lower calories. After 2 weeks of struggling with food choices and not being able to stay within…

Should I cut down protein %?
I totally suck at meeting my macros. I'm always over on carbs and waaaaaaaaay under with proteins. Eating 30% protein seems practically impossible for me. Should I decrease to 20%? I don't lift so maybe I don't need as much? Not sure..any ideas would be great!

12 weeks at TDEE..I think thats more than enough! :P
I started eating at TDEE from June. I was meant to do an 8 week 'Reset'..but I've been putting off making the cut for the last 4 weeks..totaling in a 12 week Reset! I've just gotten so used to eating more that I don't feel like eating less! :P And at my height and activity level, making the cut is almost like going back to…

Cut is leaving me 1300-1600 cals..low cal all over again?
7 more days of fasting for Ramadan and then I start my cut! Its been 11 weeks of Reset for me and eating more calories has me happier then ever! My weight increased from 129 to 132 pounds and I have maintained from there, so I know I'm pretty much at my proper TDEE. Now the problem..being only 5'1" and having only about 30…

Ended up doing a 5 week reset in place of 8 weeks!
I was planning on doing a 8 week reset, but I simply couldn't eat properly last week and it resulted in me averaging at a cut already. The trend is still going, so I've decided to just take this as a good time to cut. Also, Ramadan starts from tomorrow..That means I'll be fasting from sunrise to sunset for the next 30…

Doctor set me on a diet of 1200 cals?!?!
I'm so confused! I've been doing the reset and have about 2.5 weeks to go before my cut. Went to the endocrinologist and she told me to stick to 1200 calories and exercise 5-6 times a week! This can't be right..1200 is below my BMR..and with exercise I'll net below 1000. She said my test reports are fine and I'm not…

Strange but true NSV
I have been doing the Reset since the 1st of June and I wanted to share an NSV that really surprised me today! After being stuck at the same weight since October 2011, stepping on the scale and seeing the same weight every day really demotivated me. To the point where I felt like crying every morning. But I found that this…

Update of 4 weeks of Reset plus a question!
Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing fabulous! This is a long update about my current status on the Metabolic Reset, as well as a question that I need some advice on. I hope I don't bore y'all to death. Here goes: I have completed 4 weeks of the Metabolic Reset. My TDEE, as calculated by Scooby, is 2085, Activity level was…

just felt like talking to someone..
Started EM2WLs Metabolic Reset unofficially from the 1st of June, and properly from the 8th. Was doing good with exercise and eating and even lost an inch or two here and there.. but then I started feeling a bit sick from last week and don't have the energy to exercise. Don't have much of an appetite either, so I'm eating…

Getting my Macros right!
I set my Macros as 40/30/30 (carb/prot/fat)..but I'm having trouble meeting the daily requirements. Where I live, protein powders aren't available, and most of the calories I log in my diary are guesswork because we don't have the exact same food outlets or meals. There's some similarity to Indian meals, but most of the…

Do I need to do the reset?
Hi everyone! In an attempt to break my 7 month plateau, I upped my calories from 1320 to 1570 (my maintenance cals according to MFP) for 6 weeks. I then ate back my exercise calories and averaged around 1650 cals/day (just food) or 1540/day (after exercise) for these 6 weeks I just read about TDEE and did the Scooby…

Is my calorie goal too low?
hey everyone! i used the MFP 'guided' weight loss thingy to set my goals and was given a calorie limit of 1200. But my BMR says 1298. and though i set my goal to lose 1 pound per week, the account says the projected weight loss is 0.8 pounds per week. All these numbers are confusing me! My question now is..am I eating too…

Can anybody suggest a short (15-20 minutes max) high impact workout (other than jumping jacks) that I can do at home. I'm really out of shape and lose interest in long workouts..end up sitting and watching workout videos while munching on chips! :S Any videos I can download? any advice would be much appreciated! :)
