Intervals, calories and HRMs
I've started trying intervals on the elliptical...I increase level and speed for 1 - 2 minutes then go back down for the same amount of time... I have 3 questions. Is there a good ratio I should be using (same time for each, or should I do the lower level for a shorter amount?) Also, when I log my exercise on here there…

PASTA!
I'm wondering what brand of pasta everyone uses. We don't eat a lot of it so I don't mind spending a little more on a really good brand. I want to use one that is healthier than just plain pasta, but have found that sometimes the whole grain kind has a funny texture. What's your favorite?

how much protein/carbs/fat...
How should my intake of protein/carbs/fat be broken down to lose weight the fastest? I've been working out (cardio and weights) so I'm thinking I should be higher on protein and keep fat and carbs lower, but not too low since I know I need these to fuel myself. What breakdown works for you? Thanks! :-)

Slim Fast 3 2 1
The new slim fast plan is to have 3 snacks, 2 slimfast meals and one health meal each day. I was looking for alternatives to the slimfast meals. I can't imagine my meal being a bar. Any suggestions on what I should substitute for lunch. I was just going to have a 200 calorie meal.

I'm Back!
I've been part of this site for quite a while. I have not logged on since 7/21 though. I'm making a new commitment to be more faithful to the site, because it works GREAT! Fortunately I am still the same weight I was in July, unfortunately I have not lost anything in all that time.

I lost my kid...
Today for fun I held my 4 year old when I got onto the scale...the weight was my starting weight...I have literally lost the same amount of weight as a small (medium) child!

out to diner
So I'm having a girls night tonight and we're heading to applebees...I decided to hop on the website and plan my meal...now I know exactly what I can have for the rest of the day and still eat my yummy oriental chicken salad later tonight. Pre-planning is so helpful and makes me feel in control without giving anything up!

I broke the plateau...I've been at the same weight for 2 months and today I finally went down a whole pound!! I'm so excited...it makes my total loss 36 and left to lose 36 I'M HALF WAY THERE!

Halloween Candy Strategy....

FEWER CALORIES?!! What The Heck?
So MFP said I should re-evaluate my goals since I had lost weight, so I did...now I have 100 fewer calories each day :sad: That doesn't seem like a good reward for losing weight! (but how exciting to have reached that point) :sigh: I guess I'll just reward myself with some new clothes or something!
