Hit my first mini goal today!
I've lost my first 20lbs! 21.6 to be exact. I even broke out some of my "what if pants" and was able to wear them. I cut almost all carbs out this past week and learned my body loves sugar and carbs if I eat just a small amount I maintain or gain weight. I'm going need all the motivation I can get because I love carbs 😁…

Hello from Charleston SC USA
Hello! I live on a little island just outside Charleston South Carolina, with my two retrievers and 3 fat and happy rescue cats. I am a litigation attorney with a corporate life as well as a multistate private practice, which is also integrated with a real estate brokerage, so life is pretty insane for me. I am also…

How do I get passed this Plateau!?
SW: 323.5 CW: 240.5 NEXT GOAL: 220 ULTIMATE GOAL: 170 I have been on a pretty massive weight loss journey this passed year. Since June of 2022 I have dropped about 85 lbs. Me too
Hello everyone, I'm in for the challenge, my name is Kelly and need to lose 100 lbs. That's probably too much but it's a long term goal that can be revised, right? I hope to weigh < by Jan 2024. Like many others, I've tried every diet, had bariatric surgery in 2011 and gained back about 50lbs. It feels good to put that in…

Would love to find a tribe!
Hey y'all! Checking in from Texas here. I have always struggled with weight and PCOS doesn't help anything! I do best when I have a group of people going through the same journey to chat with, trade recipes with, and all around journey with. Hopefully someone is interested! (Anyone know how to create a group on here?)…

Reassurance and Motivation
I’m 5’7”, 272 pounds, and in my early 20s. I know I need to lose weight, and have spent this week coming to terms with my size and making diet and exercise plans. I purchased a food scale, got an eating journal, and got a gym membership. Touring the gym and signing up was intimidating, and I went for the first time today…

Week one down and no lose 😭
Feeling frustrated already in getting back on this plan. I kept my calories close or under the suggested daily intake and I didn't lose a pound. I figured I'd at least lost a little, even a quarter pound would have made me feel a little better about. In the past I would have lost a little, the only thing that's changed is…

Hey everyone! I don't expect anyone to read this but if you make it to the end thank you, and if you comment it is just further motivation. I have decided to try loosing weight again, and this time I am wanting to become more involved and focus on this goal as seriously as I take my job, and academics. So I decided to set…

Not meeting minimum nutritionals
So I created a new WLS group but we only have three members so I'm going to ask here. I am 3 weeks post-op from having a gastric sleeve and I'm only able to 'eat' about 600-700 calories a day. I was wondering if anyone out there might have some experience with post-op weight loss stalls after surgery and how caloric intake…

Activity Suggestions for Obese
I’m starting my weight loss journey after coming to terms with my size. I currently weigh 272 pounds and am 5’7”, so quite obese. I never considered myself exceptionally out of shape or unathletic, and I’m still quite young (early 20s), but I started avoiding physical activity as I gained weight. So I guess I don’t know…

Friends Who Understand
Hello! I am new to this particular part of MFP. It seemed like a nice place to start, looking to meet people who understand what I'm going through. I have a goal of almost 100lbs to lose and no one around me is or has ever been my size. It's very hard to find true support from those who don't understand this struggle. They…

Down 10 pounds this month!
I had been doing WW on and off for the past year or so. Recently started tracking in MFP instead and have been amazed. I feel like I can eat so much more. Point values for sweets are so inflated on WW. With MFP, calories are calories. I am trying to watch my macros as well… I’m learning so much more about nutrition in…
