I am a Medical Assistant in a small town family clinic but working from home doing phones. Want to be able to find some friends so we can hold each other accountable. Feel…

Getting Healthy, losing weight, and getting back in shape
Hi! Once upon a time my weight and activity wasn't a problem, other than my doctors thought I was actually too skinny! I was extremely active, I played sports, ran, biked, etc. I was this way into college, in fact the biggest I was at 5 ft 9 was about 117 lbs. Then I got married and had my first child and then got put on…

Introduction - Hi, I'm Jess!
Hi, my name is Jess and looking to change a lot throughout this year, including a 50lb weight loss. It seems so intimidating to me, but that makes me more inclined to do it! Married a bounty hunter (yes, we love DOG!). Enjoy my coffee (Team Dunkin) as it kicks up my game with my 18-4 year olds (I teach Pre-K, not actually…

Introducing myself
At 70 years young I am starting again with my own volumetric/zoom type of eating plan. I need to lose 75 lbs., but I’d like to lose 100. After a week, Holiday sweet cravings are gone. I am trying to keep things simple with eggs, smoothies, or oatmeal with low sugar/fat yogurt and berries for breakfast; a giant non-starchy…

Revisiting after years away
Hi, I am revisiting after years away. I signed up for Noom but didn't like it at all, then remembered tracking my carbs years ago when I was a bodybuilder. Things have changed since then. I am now 66 years old and spend time swimming, doing aquafit and walking the Highlands since I moved to Scotland. I am a widow and the…

Is 5 Reps Enough?
I walk over 1 hour almost every morning, but I wanted to add some bodyweight exercises to my routine. I did 10 knee push ups, 10 squats, 10 lunges on each leg, 10 jumping jacks, a 30 second plank, and a 45 second side plank on each side. This left me pretty sore and feeling some concerning neck pain (from the plank,…

How to hit my carb intake (MACROS)
Im a carb-aholic ...when it comes to eating. Only when Im being moderate and healthy I cant hit my carbs. Mostly because if I add in the "bad carbs" to fill the carbs then Im over on sodium or calories. I guess the real probelm is I dont know enough "healthy" carbs to make the most of my meals. Any pointers or guiders.

Hello
New here. Did a program a couple of years ago and lost over 70lb and became more active. Felt great. Then I let it slide and slipped most of the way back. Got a wake up call and started back on keto, then started looking for an app. Found MFP. Talked to a physio and got more rounded exercise advice and have gotten started…
