Kidney Health
I have watched foods that affect my kidneys, which contain high levels of salt, potassium, and protein. I thought this would be a good way to stay on top of those numbers.

Add Vitamin D to the nutrient tracking
Osteoporosis is a serious problem in the united states. Vitamin D and calcium are imperative to fighting this disease. Vitamin D is now on all nutrition labels. MFP includes it in the food details but not in the nutrient summary. This makes it difficult to know if you are getting an adequate amount of vitamin D. Please add…

Inspire and support
Hi! I've been on and off MFP for years, dipping in and out of diets when it pleases me. Ultimately I know that calorie deficit is the way. I love tasty food and love to make it all from scratch. I do well for a couple of weeks, different meals, making sure I don't get complacent and then I get tired of thinking of new…

Capturing nutrition info from a photo
I'd love to be able to just be able to take a photo of a nutrition label and have MFP automatically add the information when creating a new food rather than having to type everything in manually. It would function similarly to a reverse image search or text recognition in a PDF. MFP could automatically map the data to the…

Add Vitamin D tracking
It would be nice to learn how much vitamin D we are getting from our diets so we know when to cut back or augment supplements.

Improve the food search diary
many restaurants and food companies (at least in Canada) have their nutrition or at least their calories per serving publicly available, MFP should be able to tap into that to populate the food diary ALSO, if someone is creating a new food and it doesn’t have any macro information, that should just be in their own personal…

1Year 56kilo gone First Year With My Fitness Pal
This week I celebrated my first year with MFP , never done a diet before and found weight hard to lose suffering from arthritis and the inability to exercise to any level. Lost 56 kilo simply by using the plan, eating properly and educating myself on what and what not to eat. Happy birthday to me 🥳

Add salt as an option in nutrition info or salt to sodium converter
Hi all. I saw an old post discussing adding salt to the nutrition info, from a few years ago. It wasn't in the feature forum, and I couldn't find another recent post discussing the matter. In the UK, most things are labelled with salt content, not sodium. I've found that this leads to a lot of incorrect entries for food,…

Iron from red meat
Why doesn’t the app tell me how much iron I get from red meat? Eg I entered 150g beef eye fillet and it came up as nil iron, which is clearly not correct. It’s happened to me before with other meats eg bacon.

Phosphorus tracking
I’ve recently been diagnosed with chronic kidney disease and one of the dietary nutrients to monitor is phosphorus. Many food labels show this nutrient. Can this be added as a nutrient to be tracked in the app. I’ve read that 1 in 7 US adults have chronic kidney. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Tracking Phosphorus
Would you add phosphorus as an available item in the nutrients tracked list. This is an important mineral, actually the 2nd most abundant mineral in the human body, after calcium. Generally, the body needs 100 mg per day. People with kidney issues (usually CKD - chronic kidney disease), phosphorus is as important to track…

What nutrition food scales to buy?
I want to buy a nutrition food scale that tracks calories & 19+ nutrients. I have an Android phone and a Garmin Vivoactive 4s smart watch. Which nutrition food scale would connect with MFP and my phone & watch please? I get the impression you have to have Apple products to be able to connect to MFP?

Please add Magnesium to nutrient tracker
Most people are low in magnesium. I would like to track my magnesium intake but unfortunately it is not currently available on the list of nutrients to track. I would love it if MFP added that to the list! Thank you!

Something happened to the nutrient listings
I had a Gardein burger today, added it to my diary and it showed 4 g of protein. I thought that couldn't be correct so I checked the package and it's 14 g!! I don't want to have to second guess MFP on the nutrients in foods, but I guess that what it's come to. It used to be correct before they started messing with this…

Diverticulitis is NOT going to be death of me!
Hi y’all, I’m Kim from central Texas. 57 (and a half! lol) and I am struggling. Tomorrow will be four full weeks of being sick from my third diverticulitis flare-up, but this one is a doozy. Last time I was on a scale was two weeks ago at my doctor’s office, and at that point I’d lost 15 lbs since the last time I’d seen…

I’m new to counting everything
I’ve never really been one to count calories. I just cut back on carbs. But now I’m dead set on doing this the right way. In fact, I found a chair yoga for amputees, so Monday I’m starting. (Sunday was my day I set aside for rest, before I found the chair yoga, it’s football day here) I’m short on my calories for the day.…

Hi Everyone
Hi Everyone. I have been using this app for 2 months and I depend on it. I recently lost my wife and have had to learn how to cook for myself. I can boil stuff and microwave everything but my fitness pal has been so helpful. I am happy to meet new friends and be apart of their healthy eating journey.

Nutrients in % (Needs to be revised)
Why would most of the nutrients allow us to change our daily goals by entering the GRAMS, but items like Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Calcium, & Iron only allow entries based on percentage? That make 0% sense. Example: The RDA for Calcium for a man my age is 1,000mg. I typically consume about 400mg of calcium per day, so i know…

Calorie deduct for omitted ingredients
I ran into a scenario where I ordered a sandwich from a fast food place, but I chose remove mayo from the sandwich to reduce fat. It would be nice to be able to add an “omitted” item to my diary that would create a negative calorie consumption. That way I would look up the sandwich for an easy log, and then just deduct the…

Splitting Added Sugar out from Sugar counts
I am tracking on MFP, and find the macro tracking usually useful. However, my diet is high in fruits and vegetables that have a pretty high sugar count. So I am consistently warned that I go over my daily sugar intake, then recommended to eat more fruits and vegetables. It would be really helpful if the app could…

Weed out the incomplete entries in the Food database especially those missing Potassium content
I've found a lot of the entries in the food database are incomplete but marked with a green badge. Nutrients like potassium are often zero for foods that have a significant amount of it. I really need to watch my potassium and have trouble finding the right green badge entry listing it. I do vote that those not containing…

New to nutrition know-how
trying to stay within my calorie allowance and still hit my nutrient goals. Not as simple as I thought it would be. It’s easy to cut calories but I want to be healthier, not just skinnier. I love all the helpful insights from the app. I just switched from LoseIt. I should have been using this one all along.

My favorite breakfast smoothie!
so for breakfast I just use my ninja food blender to make a strawberry, banana, milk, yogurt, and cornflake smoothie. it’s really the best smoothie ever. I also like very berry as a smoothie but I didn’t have all the ingredients for that one. So I’ve been sticking with the simple strawberry banana. U put 6…
