How to calculate daily sugar intake
My question is: What counts towards sugar goal? Is it just added sugar or sugar from all food consumed same day? For example: Does naturally found sugar in carrots, tomatoes, fruits, etc. count towards daily sugar goal?

Keeping Track of More Nutrient Goals (Vitamins)
One thing I really wish was the Nutrient list on MFP to add more Vitamins. Like keeping track of your daily B vitamins, Magnesium, etc. Has anyone heard of this being talked about or added?

Beans and nuts. HELP!
So lately beans and nuts have been really messing up my calorie count. I'm cutting right now and have been eating at 1700/day for the past few weeks, but I need high protein to feel full and like eating at 100g protein a day. The problem is, a lot of my protein intake comes from beans and nuts, which are VERY high in…

Hello everyone!
Been using this program for a little over a month now. I am encouraged by my progress thus far. Not meaning to boast, but my waist has gone from 49” to 42”. Eating right, walking, and working out with dumbbells. I am a 73 year old male, and would love to hear from some of you. I get along better with females, but whatever.

How many calories should I be eating
Hi, I’m 29 and weigh 211. I’m curious to get other opinions, MyFitnessPal app says I should be eating 1450 calories a day. Do you think that’s low or should I be eating a little bit more? I tried to Google more about calorie counting, it gets confusing

Supplements
Good afternoon everyone. I met with a functional nutritionist yesterday. She suggested several vitamins and supplements to help with chronic pain and inflammation. They included vitamin D with K, vitamin B, and magnesium. Has anyone had any experience with these supplements?

Hi MFP peeps, Been using the app for a couple of months now and only just posting to intro myself. Joe, male, 41, UK. Happy Sunday! I’m feeling more confident when logging food but I generally have questions that relate to nutritional info on foods pre & post cooking. Like today, I’m cooking a Shoulder of Pork by roasting…

Calorie Deficit vs. Starvation Mode
Hi! I’m Paulette and new here. I’m a 60 year old retired, (young) granny who works out 5-6 days a week (strength training, HIIT, yoga, and cardio) and would like to lose 25 pounds. I am confused with the whole “you have to be in a calorie deficit to burn fat” verses “if you don’t eat enough calories, you’ll go into…

Click if you also have gastroparesis, ibs, or any other gastric conditions you battle with
Hello My name is Crystal and I am new here. I'm 47 years old. I started using the app due to my health conditions because it's very hard for me to keep track if I'm getting enough nutrition or not. I have a very limited amount of foods that I can eat that don't aggravate my symptoms. Which can often leave me barely eating…

Compare Food Tool
I want to compare two foods in your food database side-by-side to more easily decide which item to purchase or eat, so that I can quickly compare macros and other key nutrients. You definitely do have the largest nutrition database of any of them -- so this is the natural place I want to use to compare foods. You have at…

Reaching protein goal
I am to consume 143 gr of protein daily on a -2000 calorie budget. I’m eating eggs, yogurt, chicken breast, and beans. But I’m lucky if I make it to 120 gr, which is rare. Any suggestions?

60+ and so fed up of failing.
Been here plodding along for a few months now and just getting angrier with myself. I'm seeing no changes, I am hitting all my nutrient goals, yet I feel less and less motivated to work out what's going on. So frustrated with this body that seems to be hanging on to way over 3st more than it should. I really would love to…

Hi!
I'm a 38 year old male who has been on a fitness journey for the past 2 years. I used to be obese more than 10 years ago, topping out at 250lbs, lost weight and began a healthier lifestyle which included cutting out gluten (found out I had a sensitivity). Then I had a pretty bad car accident. My fitness journey came to a…

Splitting Added Sugar out from Sugar counts
I am tracking on MFP, and find the macro tracking usually useful. However, my diet is high in fruits and vegetables that have a pretty high sugar count. So I am consistently warned that I go over my daily sugar intake, then recommended to eat more fruits and vegetables. It would be really helpful if the app could…

Add Vitamin D tracking
It would be nice to learn how much vitamin D we are getting from our diets so we know when to cut back or augment supplements.

Smoothie (Chew or Swallow)
I’ve taken to making “smoothies” (chunkies?) rather than juicing. I make my smoothies chunky rather than completely liquified. Does anyone else prefer a chunkier smoothie? I like the fiber content and the fact that I’m consuming whole food nutrition. I have also read research that chewing helps with digestion and fuels a…

Add salt as an option in nutrition info or salt to sodium converter
Hi all. I saw an old post discussing adding salt to the nutrition info, from a few years ago. It wasn't in the feature forum, and I couldn't find another recent post discussing the matter. In the UK, most things are labelled with salt content, not sodium. I've found that this leads to a lot of incorrect entries for food,…

Addicted to sugar
Hi! I'm looking for some advice on how to deal with always craving sugar. I kept gaining weight whithout understanding why. First my nutritionist told me that it's because of the sweets (mostly different kinds of chocolate, including vegan bars and fitness bars), but I didn't realize it until I started counting calories.…

THANK YOU to everyone who includes all of the nutritional info on labels
I appreciate everyone who includes sodium, potassium, and all other nutrients listed on nutrition labels when you put something into the data base.
