You may be more fertile than you think as you get older.
Surprising but good news: I'm 6 weeks pregnant, and I'm 40. It's a happy surprise for my husband and me, but was completely unplanned and we were not trying. Upon investigating this strange miracle, I uncovered some interesting info: some new studies suggest that PCOS women are actually more fertile than their peers as…

I Might Have PCOS? Maybe? Advice Would Be Nice. :)
Hello! I have never posted here before, so hi! I am 25, and after doing some research, it seems like I maybe have some of the symptoms for PCOS, but definitely not all (or even most), and I'm kind of wondering if I am just mentally psyching myself out. I was thinking of bringing it up to my doctor, but I don't want her to…

Eating LC, on Metformin, and not insulin resistant??
I was diagnosed with PCOS in Nov. of last year and was prescribed Met even though my IR came back "good." After 4 months of taking the Met and seeing no results with my weight, acne, or exhaustion, I've finally come to accept that I need to eat low carb in order to see any changes. So my question is this: Does is really…

Doctor didn't listen to me at all...
Hello ladies! I apologize in advance for this very long post. I'm very frustrated at the moment and this will probably devolve a bit into a rant. A little bit of history: I have had messed up periods forever, since my first one. Heavy bleeding for 6-7 days and irregular timing. Long stretches with nothing at all, then when…

Ok, so my OB gave me a prescription to induce since I haven't had a cycle in a few months (I stopped taking birth control and was regular then). Currently I am hating life. It isn't a heavy cycle, which is a bit odd since I haven't for awhile, but maybe it's just getting started (yesterday I started my cycle), I don't…

So, I'm making my grand re-entrance back on to MyFitnessPal; we needed a little break! I am now back full force and wondering if any of my fellow Cysters are doing Low Carb/ High Fat? A carrot a day keeps the dr away (and your hormones balanced)
Bottom line for the busy: there is a unique soluble fiber in raw carrots that absorbs excess estrogen in your system and stops estrogen dominance. Rx: 1-2 medium raw carrots (not baby) per day My dr has been on me for years about being estrogen dominant, but I was reluctant to take hormone therapy. I scoured the internet…

Frustrating Hormonal Storm and Cascading System Failure - From taking BCP?

Progesterone and LH levels?

How many calories are you eating?
I'm trying to stick to 1500/day but I am so ravenously hungry at the end of the day I go blow my budget just so I can sleep. I'm hungry and miserable and foggy all day. My body is happy at 2000-2500 but of course that makes the scale start creeping up when in fact I'm trying to lose the last few stubborn pounds. Been on…

Hello
I started normal low carb on January 7th with an average of 6hrs cardio st the gym. I'd only lost 6lbs. Started keto last Sunday and down 4lbs. I'm really struggling with the fats that make me a bit queasy. I'm 207 and target is 250 by end of June. I'm also combining the 5:2 and 16:8 IF. All the best.

Right around the time that my weight gain began. I have…

Anyone tried Nizoral shampoo for hair loss...?
My hair has been falling out pretty steadily for about two years. It's getting really thin, but fortunately I've gotten on some medication that should help it. I've heard that there can be residual DHT that actually rests on the scalp, and that Nizoral anti-dandruff shampoo can get rid of it. Has anyone tried this? Also,…
