Binged/oversplured on reverse
Well, I'm so embarrassed about it, but Thursday I ate like 3000 calories, 1300 over goal, and then Saturday I ate 3000 calories, another 1300 over 1700 reverse diet goal!! That's like 3000 calories over!. I am so upset that I've been falling back into my binging days. Where do I go from here? Do I try again at 1700 next…

Trying to make a decision…..any thoughts are welcome!
I have been monitoring this group for several weeks with interest, and am open to any suggestions on what would be the best thing for me to do. I have been overweight to some degree all of my life and spent a fair amount of my teens and 20’s eating very low calorie with decent results. I am 53, 5’2”, and my current weight…

Lots of Questions
I'll preface this by saying that this may not be the group for me. I am a very firm believer in figuring out how to eat as much as you can while losing weight and I tend to eat at a high calorie level compared to most of what I see. So in that sense I gravitate towards this group. But I've gained a lot of weight over the…

Fasted state work outs
I workout at 4:30 am 6 days per week, lifting heavy with 30 minutes of moderate intensity cardio 3-4 days. I get up about 15 minutes before to get dressed, teeth, wash my face and hit the door. I do not eat before I go. I am curious as to what supplements, if any, I could add in to drink along with my water that would help…

Reversing and overate.
So we had a lab in which we had to do something with chocolate chip cookies. Let's just say I went way over on the calories I should have been eating. I'm up to 1700 from starting at 1350-1400. What should I do to prevent weight gain? Eat less the next day, minus 100 a day for the week?

Non Dairy Protein
Is there anyone here who gets their daily protein from non-dairy sources? I can't do milk, soy, or beans. I also can't do Hemp. Anyone here like this? How do you do it. I don't even like meat that much but I eat it.

Which activity level fits me best?
If I do kickboxing 5-6 times a week and occasionally treadmill, which level do I pick? I am otherwise very sedentary, sitting at a desk all day. Total walking around outside to get to places per day probably equals about 40 mins, sometimes a lot less.

Little help please :)
Stats: 220lbs, F, 33 years old, 5'6 and current activity level includes: 3-4 lifting sessions per week of minimum an hour, average walking 30-60 minutes per day, swimming 30 mins a couple times per week. I am pretty sedentary other than that as I am between jobs at the moment, but I do have a two year old who expends a bit…

What to do if you are not a regular exerciser ?
My daily routine changes a lot. There are consecutive days when I cannot get in any exercise and eating at high calorie goal makes me worry. But then there are weeks when I consistently exercise daily. I would like to eventually make my exercising more consistent but for now what do you suggest to do with my calorie goal?

New to this EM2WL and scared
So I'm 5'5", 152lbs, 18, female, ~28% bf, trying to lose 15-20lbs, sedentary+300 calorie burn exercises 4-5x a week. I have never been successful with weight loss, I've binged and went from 140-160 through 2 years and am down to 153 now but this is over 6 months getting here, I'd say this is from not being in a straight…

Suggestions on what's next
I have 4 more days of Jillian michaels body revolution workout left and I'm looking for suggestions on what to do next. I have lots of JM videos I've done in past that I have enjoyed and have even done insanity. Looking for home workouts to do as I have two kids and workout at home. Not a huge fan of cardio either except…

Advice, please!
Hi everybody! My name is Mindy...I'm 35, 5'5 and currently weighing in at 168. A little background - I started my fitness journey at 270 lbs., and hit my original goal weight of 160 in 2013. I decided to try to lose another 10 lbs because I had/have a lot of fat still left to lose...I was relatively successful, and was…

Is this really right? (Fitbit/TDEE/cals)
I started using a fitbit charge HR 2 weeks ago. So far I love it and it's gotten me to move more, Yay. I have a desk job and started C25K which so far I've only done twice a week, but I do take a lot of regular walks with my toddler on my back (baby wearing is exercise!) or in the stroller and we have a lot of stairs in…

I have learned my lesson....
I learned my lesson... I am never posting on the general MFP forums again. I got ripped apart over and over today with a bunch of crap! But the biggest load was "lifting should not be counted towards your TDEE, only cardio". It seriously reminded me of the older ladies in my gym coming from their cardio class and making a…

Calorie cut - question
When you start your cut, (started my 2nd week today) how long before I should take a break? Can I do it for a month then take a break? Also how long should I take a break for, is it a week or two? Also do I go straight up to maintenance or? I'm not sure how many calories to add. Any other advice?

Strong Curves
I see some people posting about it and I assume it's a book wirh nutrition and work outs. My question is what do you need for the workouts? I have a membership to the dojo where I do cardio Kickboxing, kettlebell and self defence. I can't really afford a gym membership as well but i want to change things up. We have an…

Struggling With Being Told I Need To Eat More.
Hi, does eating more really work. Every time I went to my doctor because I struggle with my weight I was told "calories in, calories out" is the only way to go, that I needed to eat less. I have tried every duet in the book and for the last 7 month I am trying to do things correctly. I am 55 years of age and my metabolism…

Fitbit TDEE
i bought a Fitbit Flex 2 weeks ago and it gives me an average TDEE of 1899. I am female, 46, 5'2" & 132 lbs. I'd love to get back to under 120 because I am more comfortable at that weight. I'm short & weight settles in lower body. I do a heavy lifting program but have not been able to do it 3x/wk like I want to due to a…

Figuring out the correct activity level...
My story is pretty familiar. Was getting good weight loss with restrictive caloric intake and exercise, then the weight loss has stopped. When I began on MFP, I went through their formulaic process and came to a number of calories to take in to lose 1lb per week. I had selected lightly active, even though I have a desk…

TDEE
Wondering if I've got this wrong. But according to scobby my TDEE with a15% deficit is just over 1400. That was based on 7-21 hours a week of strenuous activity. That seems low. I know I've asked before but I can't find my thread.

Where to start after 1 week off for strep throat
Hi! So after doing a full re-set and then being successful at a 15% cut from TDEE for a little over 2 weeks I got strep throat. It was all I could do to stay hydrated (swallowing anything hurt!) and I know I did not get nearly enough calories (stopped tracking), but I also was not active at all. I am feeling better now and…

Need help. Gaining weight like crazy.
My journey started July 2010 when I hit a high of 380 lbs. That's when I started to get control of what I was eating. The basic theory at that time was to try to cut down on fat intake and reduce calories and get more active. By Oct 2012 I was down to 270 lbs 40% BF. I was also doing Primal Blueprint approach and lowering…

Lifting Heavy
I lift and am currently doing Jamie Eason Live Fit. Really loving it but I don't know if I am really lifting heavy enough. I try to ensure that reps 8-10 are difficult but still possible to complete. Am I on the right track here? Should I increase weights each week or when those last few reps feel easier?

Not eating enough is killing my liver!?
I got the results back from my 6 month check up. Usually everything is good no changes needed. This time, however, everything was abnormal. My liver enzymes were elevated and now I'm Type 2 diabetic. The dietician calls to do my phone consult.....I had no idea that I was eating so little that when I do eat (usually once a…

My Final Official Update
Hey all. I know some of you are curious as to how it's going for me. I started my reset back at the end of February and kept at it for almost 4 months. In all, I think I gained about maybe... 4-5lbs, which isn't bad at all! I don't look like I gained any weight :) I've been attempting a cut now (had big water *swoosh*…

back again...
For most of my adult life I've eaten between 800-1200 cals a day....i've had spurts of time where I lost on this (1 year I lost 50 lbs on medifast eating like this), but it always either comes back or stalls. i've been dancing around this whole eat more concept for years. I tried several years ago and was so discouraged…
